This piece was written through the lens of blind writing—a practice I engaged in during my younger years, allowing words to flow freely without conscious interference. It emerges from a place of deep channeling, where imagery, emotion, and subconscious come together. I have hundreds of pages of material waiting to see the light of day. This one was written on September 10, 2001, while I was living in NYC. In many ways, this piece speaks to the nature of existence—how we brush against mortality, acknowledge it, flirt with it, and yet, ultimately if allowed, keep running with time. It's a reflection on the comfort of presence, the beauty of impermanence, and the quiet understanding that death, in its own way, is also an observer—neither chasing nor pulling, simply watching and waiting with a knowing smile. Hope you enjoy it. Music via Pictory

Transcript

September 10th,

2001 Emotional speed tumbles me down a rocky embankment.

My bloodied fingers claw at the green moss that blankets the history of the hill.

Reaching out for air,

I find myself resting in a flat field painted gold and silver.

And looking out,

I recognize a familiar face in the landscape.

Returning my smile,

Death reaches out for me.

I pull away,

Looking back,

Smiling,

Being coy,

Yet remaining still.

Death watches me and waits as I run and laugh,

Keeping pace with time.

His presence comforts me,

So I look again and see that he's become pensive.

Still gazing my way,

Death raises his right hand and shuffles me along.

Watching me brings my old friend joy,

As we become lost in the torn,

Yellowed pages of a hologram.

It feels good to be alive.

So good. So interesting. ( I don't completely understand the ghost writing part yet but will look into that more.)

Yes it does feel good to be alive Joe. This whispers to my soul, reminds me how endings and beginnings evolve seemlessly, into One. How, as spiritual beings living this human life, we recognise eternal divine connections with grace and a smile. Bless you, for sharing Joe
