Welcome to your evening rest meditation.
My name is Joy,
And I will be your guide to help you relax,
To help you fall asleep,
And to help you find the deep rest your body and mind crave.
Sleep can sometimes be elusive.
In the darkness of night,
It can hide.
But sleep is so important for our well-being.
And sleeping long and well brings clarity,
Energy,
And peace to our day.
So as we begin,
Find yourself a comfortable position.
Lying down,
Make small adjustments to find what feels best.
Check in with your head and neck,
Your arms and wrists,
Your shoulders and back,
Your hips,
Your legs,
Your ankles,
And your feet.
Make those small movements to let them settle just a little bit more.
Relax just a little deeper.
On your next exhale,
Soften your body.
On your next exhale,
Snuggle in just a little deeper.
As your body continues to relax,
With each exhale,
Your mind begins to slow.
As your body continues to relax with each exhale,
Your thoughts begin to slow.
You've accumulated so many thought transactions throughout the day that we need to close out the working part of the day to enter your rest part of the day.
As each thought comes in,
Close it out as if you were closing a tab on a computer.
Click the little X icon and allow that thought to be filed away.
Allow each thought to find its rightful place,
Filed properly for tomorrow.
Allow each task to be placed on a new list for tomorrow's considerations.
This day is done.
As you close out today,
Breathe in gratitude for all you've accomplished,
All you've done,
And all you've planned.
Breathe out what is needed for tomorrow.
Breathe in the positive aspects of your day,
The beauty,
Fun,
Adventure,
Or the simplicity of the day.
Breathe out any busyness or hurriedness.
As those final tabs are closing,
As you are slowing your thoughts and replacing them with the essence of gratitude,
Let's step deeper into relaxation and rest.
Take a moment and begin to visualize a beautiful mountain lake.
A lake high in the hills,
Surrounded by a lush and dense forest,
Above the sounds of any hustle and bustle of everyday life.
A lake glistening in the soft glow of the evening light,
The golden hour,
Giving the blue water glints of light that look like shimmering diamonds sparkling on the surface.
The air is warm and the breeze is cool.
The leaves sway and rustle above you,
The birds softly singing an evening lullaby.
You breathe in the clean mountain air and it brings you peace and calm.
The scent of the trees is fresh and warm.
It brings a sense of soothing.
You lay quietly taking in the sights and the sounds,
The scents,
And the calmness it brings.
With nature all around,
You feel grounded and safe.
In a place where you belong.
In a place that speaks to your soul.
It's a longing for silence and stillness.
Where your body and mind can rest.
And you rest more deeply than ever before.
You connect with your surroundings on a more holistic level.
Letting the nature around you become a part of you.
The swirl of the wind,
The beauty of the lake,
The sounds of the trilling birds,
The beautiful colors and textures of the leaves and the ground beneath you.
And as evening turns to night in this beautiful place,
And as the world around you settles in,
You feel and you hear the shift around you.
The bird songs are replaced with the evening serenade of nocturnal friends.
And the light fades from the sky,
Leaving the inky canvas overhead.
And as the night wears on,
A beautiful light show of moon and stars and clouds change the sky into a swirling tapestry that could only be painted by the creator above.
The peace and contentment fill you as you slowly drift to sleep.
Nestled among the towering trees,
Listening to the lapping water of the lake.
And covered overhead with the patchwork sky.
Breathe in,
Bringing all of that into your body.
And exhale,
Release any last tensions.
Breathe in and be filled with nature.
Breathe out those last parts of ourself.
Connecting to nature,
Connecting to the visualization.
Find your rest here.
Be calm.
Find your deepest sleep.
Be content.
Find your enchanting dreams.
And be at peace.
Sleep well,
My friend.
Www.
Mooji.
