Greetings fellow traveller.
Thank you for joining me today.
To meditate.
And hunker down for a little shouter.
From the deluge of tasks and to-do lists and what have you that life might be raining down on you.
Let's shelter just for a little while.
Park ourselves.
No other activities.
Distractions put on hold.
Nowhere else to be right now.
We're going to let the rain guide us.
Sue for what needs soothing.
I invite you now to get comfortable,
Whatever that means to you,
Whether sitting or laying,
It's up to you,
Just anything that helps you just relax in the best way possible for you.
Find your position.
Settle down.
And if it feels right for you to do so,
Just close your eyes.
Now.
Take a big breath.
And side out.
Good,
Take three more like that.
Nice and slow and deep.
Sighing each one out fully.
Letting each breath.
Help you sink deeper into that position of rest Hmm.
Good.
Just relax into your Nice.
Easy rhythm of breathing.
Whatever that means to you.
We have arrived at this pause and we're just here to be and relax Listen to the rain.
And it's better.
Drops falling where they may.
Clashing of leaves.
Pooling in puddles and dropping into the puddles and sending those little concentric circles out with each drop dry soil,
Drinking it.
Taking that life in from the sky.
Listen.
And if at any point.
.
.
Your mind wanders someplace else.
Just take deep breaths.
So head out.
And just listen to the rain.
Let that shower.
Wash away.
Anything.
It does not serve.
This moment of peace.
Let the peace bloom.
From every drop of rain.
That you can hear right now.
Let it play.
Like a flower after a month of showers.
Let the rain feed you.
Like sleeping seeds.
Dreaming.
Of God.
It is giving you.
Everything you need.
In this moment.
Sometimes we just need to pause and drink in.
A moment of respite.
Good.
We're going to let the rain take us a bit deeper now into this relaxation Just get a sense.
Of it falling gently on the crown of your head.
Bringing up a fairy.
Gentle.
Pattering.
Sensation.
That just takes that relaxation a little bit deeper and imagine the cascade of those drops.
Running down.
Down onto your forehead and temples Relaxing.
Down the back of your head and neck,
Relaxing trickling down your cheeks and you're relaxing Relaxing the skin on your neck.
Under your chin as it trickles down to your collar bone.
Relaxing even more as it rolls down the side of your neck to your shoulders and down your back.
Sense it rolling down your shoulders and your upper arms,
Your front and back of your arms,
Relaxing the rivulets of each drop.
Running across the joint of the arm.
Tell me how,
Boy.
And down the forearms,
Relaxing as it goes down your hands.
Pooling in your palms and down your fingers.
Relaxing.
Relaxing.
Relaxing.
As the rain rolls down.
Imagine.
Drops of rain running down your chest and down your belly.
To your pelvis and down your back.
To waste.
Like rain races down a windowpane in a heavy rain shower.
Relaxing you as you go.
Over the glutes and the pelvis relaxing down your thighs,
The front and back of your thighs,
Relaxing.
Over your knees and over the backs of your knees,
Relaxing.
Trickling down your shins and calves,
Relaxing with each drop falling and rolling your ankles.
Relaxing.
Over your feet.
The talk.
And so to be of aid Relaxing.
And dripping off the end of your toes.
Being soon.
I am gentle.
Cascade of droplets.
Cool.
Right.
From your head.
All the way down.
Do it to us.
As if the surface of your body.
Was like a gentle for life.
Stream.
Good.
Just drink in this moment.
Listen to the rain.
Sense it soothing.
Your body.
We're gonna take one more little moment.
For relaxation for ourselves now with a tongue.
That I wrote about.
Being caught in a summer rain.
I figured it's a guy.
This poem is called Sky Kiss.
Caught in the summer rain in the middle of a field of peas.
Little vines wind as the dreaming pouches grow.
Clouds creep close,
Caress the earth.
Drops fall through.
Cupid's arrows.
And the sky showers ground with kisses.
So many whispered lovers wishes.
Make the soil aside.
And the sky locks.
Rise high.
Their cries pealing.
Tiny wedding bells.
Joyfully ringing.
And on that note.
.
.
Just start to take your breathing a little bit deeper.
Start to feel some invigoration coming from that breath.
Start wriggling your fingers and toes having a little squirm around a little wriggle around bringing that movement to the body And when you're ready.
Just gently.
Open your eyes and take a big stretch.
Thank you so much for joining me today for this meditation.
I am humbled and grateful that you've chosen to spend your time with me here,
Sheltering from the rain.
