Hello and welcome to this guided meditation designed to help you navigate the challenging situations of daily life.
Today we're going to work with the three pillars of perspective,
Patience and persistence.
This is a space of deep compassion for yourself and a space where we go deeper to find inner clarity,
Inner strength.
I invite you to start by finding a comfortable position whether seated or lying down.
Take a moment to find your posture and allow your body to settle into a sea of tranquility.
Close your eyes gently now and feel the warm welcome of your inner world.
Now by taking a deep breath in through your nose,
Relaxing and exhaling slowly through your mouth.
Just letting go of any tension,
Any worries,
Any stress.
Just feel it melting away to the surface beneath you.
Once more just breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Letting go of any heaviness or doubt and one last time in deep nourishing breath in through your nose,
Cleansing breath out.
Notice that in this moment here you are grounding yourself,
You are finding your center,
The place where you feel safe.
Continue to breathe deeply,
Relaxing more.
We dive into the world of perspective.
Our experience of life is determined not only by the events in our lives but by how we perceive and respond to them.
I want you to think of a challenging situation in your life right now and feel how that situation makes you feel.
Remember to breathe and now I invite you to bring to the forefront of your mind current perspective on this situation holding you back from living life and now I invite you to imagine that perspective as a symbol,
An object,
An image,
Whatever comes to your mind and as you hold that image in your awareness ask yourself what perspective would I like to have instead and I want you to imagine that that new perspective is on the other side of a bridge calling to you glowing and now I invite you to imagine old perspective floating away,
Dissolving and as it does you notice the path of the new perspective becoming brighter,
Stronger and more vivid and if you feel ready I invite you to start crossing that bridge now knowing that it is fully stable secure to support you and as you cross that bridge you notice that new perspective that glowing warm light moving towards you eventually it comes to meet you finds you that new perspective how does it feel it's of that new perspective to just wash over you asking you in a feeling of warmth comfort and of strength with this newfound perspective you feel a sense of clarity direction ease in navigating this challenging situation whenever you find yourself defaulting to that old perception that old perspective simply come back to the space of that bridge a warm light of that new perspective and know that it will illuminate paths and reveal solutions that you may not have seen breath in through your nose and out through the mouth go of that old perspective we transition to patience second pillar acknowledge a situation in your life that makes you feel impatient vision yourself in that situation how does it make you feel you to imagine and envision and soothe this feeling of impatience just one thing acknowledge that taking this action relaxed that peace breathe in this new sense of peace relaxation back to this space whenever you need and remember that one action that one thing whenever you feel impatient now breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth letting go the stress more and now we move to the final pillar persistence life can challenge us in infinite ways and our true internal strength comes from our ability to persist and to persevere in light of those challenges now I want you to imagine a challenging situation where you feel like giving up where the challenge sometimes seems too heavy how does it feel it's all welcome take a deep breath in through your nose breathe it out just letting it all go and now in that challenging situation feeling that way I want you to visualize a warm fire deep within you this fire is your passion your flame your persistence and now as you feel its warmth I invite you to gently imagine blowing life into that fire and watching it grow feel the warmth of the flame growing stronger warmer know that this fire is always present within you your determination your perseverance your innate ability to carry on even when things get tough and see yourself in that challenging situation again but now you're filled and fueled by this fire of persistence feel the energy that you feel the strength and watch as any feelings of doubts or impatience simply fade in its warmth watch as your inner obstacles float away know that this fire is always within you that you can call upon it whenever you need and I want you to offer yourself an affirmation now words of strength so that whenever you repeat these words this fire awakens within you feel it inhaling slowly now in through the nose and slowly out through the mouth know that you are greater than any of the challenges in your life now always feel your new resilience or empowered let yourself absorb all of this powerful wonderful energy one last deep breath now breathing it all in and with your eyes still closed just letting it out letting go of anything you no longer need in a moment I'm going to count down from ten and when I get to one you'll feel more alive more alert more awake ready to go through your day and face any challenge comes your way ten nine feeling the sensation of the surface beneath you eight seven feeling grounded and calm six five feeling the energy flowing through you four three connecting to your inner power now two and one and when you're ready you can open your eyes feeling awake refreshed and as you go about your day today remember that challenges are a natural part of your growth embrace them with compassion for yourself for others remember that you have the power perspective of patience so before we go I wanted to leave you with this one quote which is this courage does not always roar sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I'll try again tomorrow you've got this
