Parvati wants to know what is the pathway in this movement-less wheel of movement; in this seemingly manifested reality that can also be described as empty and vibrating?

Good morning.

This is Jody Weiss and I am teaching today from the Manual for Self-Realization,

112 Meditations of the Vigyana by Rava Tantra,

Published by the Lakshmanju Academy,

And representing the teachings of Swami Lakshmanju.

And in the beginning of this incredible teaching of non-dual meditation,

There is a conversation that takes place between Parvati and Vairava.

And she asks him,

O Lord,

Do this favor to me.

Do this favor to me,

O Lord.

Please remove my doubts.

Please remove all of my doubts entirely.

Do this favor to me,

O Lord.

And he responds,

O dear,

O dear Parvati,

You ask me that which is worthy to be asked,

For because this is the essence of all tantras.

The question you have put before me is the essence of all tantras.

And O O Devi,

Although it is to be concealed,

You must conceal this.

It is worth concealing,

Hiding.

It must not be exposed because it is a secret.

Even then,

I will explain it.

I will expose this secret to you.

This state of Vairava that is already sung in the body of the tantras,

That state is in its extreme,

Supreme way and is the state of Vairava.

In other words,

The real state of Vairava is the state of Vairavi.

When you explain,

Whenever you find out what is the real state of Vairava,

You can't find it out because the real state of Vairava is in fact the real state of the knower.

It can't be found because it is the finder.

The real state of Vairava is the perceiver.

It is not perceived.

You can't perceive that state.

When it is perceived,

When there is a desire in you to perceive it,

You can perceive it only when it comes down to the state of Vairavi.

So that is the way.

When you tread on the level of Pāvāti,

Then you are treading on the path.

This is the journey we have to do,

The journey we have to do in the field of Pāvāti,

Not in the field of Vairava.

There is no journey there.

He is the knower of everything,

So it can't be found.

That state cannot be found.

That state can only be found when it comes down one step lower to the state of Pāvāti.

So now,

Here we will describe 112 ways to enter in the universal and transcendental state of consciousness.

112 ways will be explained in this book,

And those 112 ways will reside only in the field of Pāvāti.

It can't reside in the field of Vairava because Pāvāti is the way.

This is what he puts down as the foundation stone for entering into consciousness of 112 ways.

But is there any difference of supremacy?

Is there a difference of supremeness between Lord Śiva and Pāvāti?

This is what he explains now.

Just as between energy and the holder of energy,

There is no differentiation at all to be found,

Always there is this unity between energy and the holder of energy.

There is no differentiation,

Differentiatedness in the same way of this.

All of the aspects of Lord Śiva are held in Pāvāti herself.

The holder of all aspects is Pāvāti.

Because when there is a fire,

For instance there is a fire,

All of these energies are owned by fire,

But those energies,

Lightning,

Giving light,

Burning,

Heating,

All of these energies are produced from fire,

But these energies are indifferentiated with fire.

From fire these energies are not differentiated from fire.

That is what he says.

From fire the energy of burning,

Burning energy,

Is not found to be separate.

When you enter into the state of energy,

You leave your individual state.

You have to throw off your individual state and enter in the energy to enter into the universal state in the end.

Because unless you throw off your individuality,

Universality will not rise.

Universality will not take place.

So you have to enter into the state of energy first.

Then afterwards,

When you feel that indifferentiatedness comes in your consciousness,

Indifferentiated between energy and the holder of energy,

At that very moment one becomes one with Lord Śiva.

Oh dear Pāvāti,

Just like with the light of your candle or torch,

All of the differentiated points are known,

Are understood in the same way.

Śiva is being understood by Śakti,

By his energy.

Energy is the means by which you can understand and enter the state of Lord Śiva.
