Well,

Hello there again.

Welcome to the Throat Chakra Herbal Tea.

And I'm Joanne.

And in the Throat Chakra in Sanskrit is Vishuddha.

It is associated with communication and growth through expression.

It is also associated with the thyroid,

The gland that is responsible for growth and maturation.

Physically,

The Throat Chakra governs communication.

Emotionally,

It governs independence.

Mentally,

It governs fluent thought.

Spiritually,

It governs a sense of security.

At the Throat Chakra,

Many people focus on voice and speech.

That is your ability to articulate thoughts and ideas.

What is most important at the Throat Chakra is not how you communicate,

But what you communicate.

The what is your truth,

Your deepest wisdom.

The how is your channel for sharing your truth.

Both of what and how of truth sit at the Throat Chakra,

Which is located at the center of your physical throat,

Of your Adam's apple.

The Throat Chakra holds the sum of your lived experiences with voice,

Expression and truth.

It is considered to be the spiritual and metaphysical energy centers.

The Throat Chakra serves as the entrance to the higher spiritual realms.

An unbalanced Throat Chakra can result in the plethora of physical,

Emotional and spiritual issues,

Depending on whether the Chakra is over-performing or under-performing.

In the case of being overactive,

You may find yourself being overly critical or judgmental of others.

Or you may talk non-stop and be extremely loud.

And with an under-active Throat Chakra,

You are likely to suppress your feelings and be fearful of speaking your truth.

You may be shy and stumble over your words or even stutter.

The Throat Chakra has 16 petals.

It is a 16 petal lotus flower surrounding an inverted triangle that contains a circle.

Its color is turquoise blue.

Its element is ether.

Its physical note is G.

Its planet is mercury.

The animal is the elephant.

And the goddesses are Aletheia and Veritain.

These two goddesses offer themselves for work of the Throat Chakra where the voice of power emerges.

Essential oils are eucalyptus,

Clove,

Tea tree and peppermint.

And the crystals are lapis lazuli,

Aquamarine,

Blue agate and turquoise.

Now here are some Throat Chakra affirmations you can use while having your tea.

I express myself clearly and confidently.

I speak my truth with courage and love.

I communicate effectively and with ease.

I am open and honest in my communication.

I listen to others with an open heart.

My voice is strong and powerful.

I am an active listener and respect others viewpoints.

I express my creativity through my words and actions.

I speak with integrity and kindness.

My voice matters and I am heard.

So now the tea.

It's a red clover tea and again remember that we all have different tastes so that five minutes brewing time might be just a bit long for you or a bit short.

So you decide and keep it balanced for your taste.

Also as a precaution some herbs have contra indications with medications etc so if you're taking anything best to check that the herbs will not interact with them.

Right so the Throat Chakra red clover is one part red clover and that's your one part which is either a cup or more or half a cup or a tablespoon.

It just depends on how much you want to make.

And then half that part of peppermint,

A quarter of that part lemon balm,

A quarter of that part chamomile.

And then just mix it all together and enjoy a beautiful tea.

Now also I've pulled a card from my Tea Oracle deck and it's a berry fruit tea.

So in a jug place a handful of strawberries,

Raspberries and cherries pitted and bruise the berries slightly.

Pour a litre of water over and chill in the fridge and then pour into glasses with ice.

This is a lovely relaxing iced tea for those long summer months.

So have fun making this and I really want to hear how it goes and the next one will be for the Third Eye or the Brow Chakra.

So until next time my dear friends,

Namaste.

Another interesting and informative talk about our throat chakra. You give so much information Joanne and I love learning about the associated crystals (I’m an avid crystal collector 💖) Red clover is not a herb I’m familiar with. I’ve seen it for sale in powdered form so would this be ok to use or is it best to use fresh leaves? I guess the powdered form is more intense so use less? I love the photo which accompanies your tracks. What a pretty little tea set. Tea taste so much better in a lovely cup doesn’t it 😊 I make a berry fruit tea in the summer and add elderflower too. It’s so refreshing. Thank you Joanne. I’m loving these talks and tea recipes 💖
