Hi there,

My name is Shatin.

We're going to do a meditation called dandelion breath.

The breathing in this meditation is really useful if you're feeling stressed or nervous,

Worried or angry or any of these emotions that are a little bit tricky for us.

And this is a fun one because you've probably seen a dandelion and I'm sure you've also blown it to blow the seeds away while you've made a wish.

We all love making wishes so let's go into our imagination and do something a little bit fun for today.

First I'm going to get you to sit up very nice and straight.

If you can imagine that you're nice and tall like a flower,

A dandelion flower standing in the garden.

Now just roll your shoulders up and down.

Just feel your body start to relax a little bit.

If you'd like to and it feels safe for you,

You can close your eyes or you can just let your eyes soften,

Daydream if you like.

Let's begin.

You're walking through a field full of long lush grass.

You can feel the sun shining on your back.

Can you hear birds singing in the distance?

Maybe there are a few bees buzzing around,

Perhaps even a couple of butterflies.

It's a beautiful sunny day and everything feels good.

You feel good.

You sit down on the grass and that's when you notice you're sitting amongst a pile of dandelion flowers.

I want you to pick four.

Have you got them?

Now with these four dandelions in your hand you're going to practice taking some very deep breaths and making a wish as you gently exhale to blow the seeds away.

Let's start with the first one.

Pick it up,

Take a deep breath.

Now make a wish for yourself as you gently exhale and blow those seeds away.

Did you make one?

Good.

Let's take our second dandelion.

Take another deep breath in.

Make a wish for a friend as you gently blow those seeds away and exhale all the air out.

Good job.

Now we're going to make our third wish for our family.

Take a deep breath in and gently blow those seeds away again as you're making a wish for your family.

We have one dandelion left.

Take a deep breath in.

Now make a wish for the whole world as you gently blow those seeds away.

Didn't that feel good?

It's nice to make wishes for ourselves and for other people isn't it?

I hope you enjoyed this meditation today.

You can gently wiggle your fingers and toes and open those eyes if you'd closed them.

Have a wonderful day.
