Settle yourself now in a comfortable position that invites rest and time for quiet reflection.
It feels okay to do so.
Gently close your eyes or lower your gaze.
Noticing the subtle shift from the focus of your outside world to your inner world now.
In your own time take three deep and slow breaths.
Each one helping you transition from the activity of the day into evening calm.
As you feel yourself gently settling here,
Rest one hand on your heart and one hand on your belly.
If that feels comfortable feel the steady rhythm beneath your palms as you take a few breaths here.
Seeing if you can be fully present for one full inhalation and one full exhalation.
As you breathe notice the spaces in between the breath at the top of your inhale and the bottom of your exhale.
Allowing yourself to rest here for a short while in between breaths.
With each breath notice the quiet space that exists between your thoughts.
Like the pause at the top of the inhale and the bottom of the exhale.
As you become more centered notice how your breath lengthens naturally.
Every exhale creating space for inner listening.
You may begin to notice a deeper knowing stirring within you.
A wisdom that is beyond thought,
Beyond planning.
Quiet knowing that is always present inside you.
As feelings or insight arise you can silently acknowledge them.
Thank you I receive this wisdom.
Now allow your awareness to rest in your heart.
Notice what gentle guidance emerges as you listen with patience and openness.
Allow your breath to be your anchor if your mind becomes busy.
Turn to its steady rhythm whenever you need.
Feel your body completely held and supported here as you continue to listen.
Your body knows how to hold you in this receptive state.
If specific guidance comes simply note it with gentle awareness.
No need to act or plan.
You are simply here to receive.
Silently affirm to yourself I trust my inner knowing.
Wisdom comes in stillness.
Notice how this receptive state naturally prepares you for rest.
Your system knows exactly what it needs.
Allow your awareness to float in this quiet space between waking and sleeping.
Every breath drawing you deeper into peace.
You can trust that any wisdom received will be held safely as you transition towards sleep.
Nothing needs to be figured out right now.
You can allow yourself to rest now knowing that your inner wisdom continues its quiet work as you rest.
