A guided short meditation for building gentle awareness of the body, allowing some movement in to help ground your energy. Moving your own way and following the wisdom of your body. Connection to your body is calling. Move your energy to clear blocks and feel forward movement.

Movement meditation.

For this meditation,

See if you can find some headphones and put them on now.

We are going to begin standing somewhere where you've got enough space around your body and beginning to tune in to just your breath flowing in and out,

Feeling the body standing,

Feeling the pressure of the weight through the feet.

Beginning to just shift from the right foot to the left foot,

Maybe moving the toes and with your eyes closed just really feel the breath moving in gently and down to the feet as you move the feet and just connect with your groundedness and the energy moving down towards the earth.

And spend a few breaths really breathing down to the feet,

Moving the toes,

Just shifting the weight to the right foot,

To the left foot,

Being aware of the in-breath,

Being aware of the out-breath,

Just being with your breath,

With your awareness,

Focused on your feet.

And then moving up through the ankles,

The shins and the knees,

Maybe stepping the feet out a little wider,

Bending through the knees,

Maybe bending forward from the hips and folding.

Just see how your body wants to move here as your feet stay glued to the ground below you.

And as you're breathing and moving and connecting inward to your body,

Start to feel your hips moving and as your hips start moving we're starting to get some energy moving in the direction of your life that you require it to go.

We start to release some energy that may be stagnant around the root of the spine,

The base chakra.

We start to just move the hips,

Maybe side to side,

Maybe some circles,

Maybe the movements are big or maybe the movements are small.

But we just feel the whole lower body moving,

Even subtle movements,

Using the breath to create space in the body,

Feeling safe,

Feeling supported.

And then moving up the spine,

So starting to feel the ribcage move,

Maybe spinal waves or some little circles of the spine,

Including right up to the neck.

So starting to move the head.

We start to see if we can deepen the breath,

Moving up,

Breathing into the belly,

The ribs,

The chest,

Expanding the body with the breath,

Rolling the shoulders,

Moving the spine,

Breathing all the air out as you really come into your body now.

Starting to move the shoulders,

The elbows,

Moving the wrists,

Maybe giving the hands a few circles,

Bringing the fingers in,

Bringing the fingers out,

Making circles with the hands,

Bringing the hands up overhead,

Bringing the hands down,

Flow with your breath.

So we're moving now the whole body,

Moving the head,

Creating space with your breath and just feeling connected to this moment,

To your body,

To your breath.

And then tuning into any feelings inside of you that are on the heart today,

Feeling your body with the breath for a few moments,

Placing your hands on your heart or your belly and taking three nice deep breaths in stillness now.

Standing still,

Breathing in,

I'm aware of my in-breath.

Breathing out,

I'm aware of my out-breath.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

And then find your natural rhythm of breath,

Release your hands by your side and start shaking the hands.

Let the hands shake,

Let the elbows and the shoulders move with the shaking and here we're releasing any stagnant energy that's been stuck or holding you back.

We are releasing with this shaking of the hands and the out-breath any stress,

Any stuckness,

Releasing any feelings of self doubt,

Any lack of purpose.

As we release this energy we invite feelings of clarity,

Love,

Health,

Vitality,

Passion,

Confidence,

The commitment to self.

We bring it all in as we release all density from the body,

Clearing the body,

Shaking the hands a little bit faster,

Shaking,

Shaking,

Taking a nice deep breath in and as you breathe out everything can just drop.

Find stillness,

Feel the tingles from the shaking running up the arms into the heart.

Bringing in fresh prana into the body.

As you begin to just any slow movements the body might need.

And start to open your eyes really gently,

Orient yourself back to the room that you're in.

It's time and place.

Notice how you're feeling and from this zoomed out perspective be ready to begin your day,

To choose again,

To come back to self.

Taking a nice deep breath in and breathing all the air out.

Remembering you are love,

You are whole already and you've got this.
