Hello,
I'm Jared Wessler,
And this is my daily gratitude.
Give me about five minutes,
And I'll guide you through.
Gratitude is an essential practice for me,
But it's not always easy.
That's why I'm here to guide us in some.
Before we get going,
Let's take one giant breath that we'll hold at the top.
Here we go.
Fill your lungs up big.
Biggest breath of the day.
And hold it.
Hold it for a moment longer.
And let it out with a.
.
.
Mmm.
Shake loose anything that feels tight.
I love a good breath.
And as the music comes around,
Let's sing.
Thank you.
Thank you.
For what we've come to do.
Thank you.
And again.
Thank you.
Thank you.
For what we've come to do.
Thank you.
Today,
I am grateful for how art heals.
I had a beautiful moment last night listening to a piece of music,
Willie Nelson's Stardust.
And I had a memory of being a small child and being over by the record player dancing with my grandfather.
I'd forgotten that memory.
I felt so comforted,
So held,
And so loved.
It was beautiful.
And it's amazing how music and other forms of art can give us these floods of memories that we thought we had forgotten.
What a beautiful time and place that we live in.
And to that I sing.
Thank you.
Thank you.
For what we've come to do.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
For what we've come to do.
Thank you.
What art heals you?
Is there a song that always gets you?
A painting that used to hang in your grandmother's kitchen?
A story someone used to read to you?
Or one you used to read to yourself?
I hope you find some of that art today.
You connect to it,
And you sing.
Thank you.
Thank you.
For what we've come to do.
Thank you.
One last time.
Thank you.
Thank you.
For what we've come to do.
Thank you.
As always,
I am grateful for your willing heart and for you being here today.
Thank you.
