I'm Jennifer Farmer and welcome to this restorative mini meditation practice.
This meditation can be done at any time to restore your energy and balance your emotions.
Please do not listen to this meditation while driving a car or operating machinery.
This meditation requires your complete attention.
Let's begin now by taking a deep breath in and exhale out slowly.
Another deep breath in and exhale out.
I want you to get comfortable where you are,
Either sitting or lying down,
Making sure your back is supported.
Close your eyes and follow the sound of my voice.
Nice deep breath in and exhale slowly.
As you begin to settle down,
Scan your body and notice if there are any places of tension.
If you notice any spots of tension,
Just take a nice easy breath in and relax that area.
Let the mind slow down,
Letting the breath come into the body and easily exhaling.
Settle in a little more,
Let all the muscles in your body release.
Very good.
We're going to use the breath to revitalize your energy.
Just let me guide you.
With each breath together,
We're going to breathe in for the count of four,
We're going to hold for the count of four,
And exhale for the count of four.
This technique also improves concentration.
So at your own pace,
Let's begin breathing in for four,
Holding for four,
And exhaling for four.
Breathing in for four,
Holding for four,
And exhaling for four.
Another breath in for four,
Holding for four,
And exhaling for four.
Excellent.
Let your breath restore itself naturally for the next few moments,
Staying calm and relaxed.
Let your body settle just a little more.
Now I want you to practice this restorative breathing technique on your own.
Breathing in for four,
Holding for four,
And exhaling for four.
At your own pace,
Taking a nice deep breath in now.
Relax,
And let the breath fall back into its natural rhythm now.
Very good,
Feeling relaxed and at peace.
Allow yourself to sit here for as long as you'd like,
Enjoying the stillness,
Feeling your emotions calm and relaxed.
And now,
Let's begin breathing in for four,
Holding for four,
And exhaling for four.
And exhaling for four,
And exhaling for four.
And exhaling for four,
And exhaling for four.
And exhaling for four,
And exhaling for four.
And exhaling for four,
And exhaling for four.
And exhaling for four,
And exhaling for four.
