Welcome to your sink into surrender meditation.
A meditation for releasing control and turning towards trust.
So take a moment to find the most comfortable and relaxed position possible for yourself.
And however feels good to do so,
Create a space to let yourself simply be.
Take a slow breath in.
And a long breath out.
Again,
Breathing in.
And out.
Imagine yourself sinking into a warm bath.
The water is exactly the right temperature.
Your favorite smells fill the surroundings.
And the light is dim and luxurious.
You notice your body softens and a sense of feeling held.
Your shoulders dip beneath the surface of the water.
Your eyes feel heavy and the body starts to unclench.
And relax.
As you let yourself sink.
A little deeper.
And maybe you notice how it can feel to be supported without having to do anything.
You don't need to keep yourself afloat.
You can simply let yourself be held.
And maybe this is a little like trust.
Trusting that you may not know exactly what is going to happen.
And you allow yourself to soften anyway.
Now bring to mind for a moment something You're currently trying to control something you're planning.
Or worrying about.
Gently bring it to mind.
And imagine you are placing it beside the bath that you were in.
And ask yourself with compassion.
How tightly am I holding on to this?
And take another Deep breath in.
And as you breathe out,
Imagine loosening your grip.
Just a little.
Not dramatically or completely.
Just enough to create a little more space in your mind and body.
And you may notice your mind saying.
What if something goes wrong?
And perhaps you can respond by saying.
.
.
If that happens,
I can meet it then.
I've done what I can and I trust myself to respond.
Surrender doesn't mean giving up.
Or that you no longer care.
It doesn't mean you need to stop planning or preparing.
It may simply mean recognizing the point at which your part ends.
You can do your part and then let life do its part.
And bring to mind all the things already in your life that you have navigated.
Things you didn't expect.
Couldn't have planned for.
And yet here you are.
You adapted,
You learned and you found your way through.
Let that be your evidence,
Your support.
You don't need to know every outcome to trust yourself.
And you don't need everything to go according to plan to be okay.
Now perhaps imagine yourself sinking a little deeper into the water.
Feel the warmth around you.
The feelings of being supported and lightness.
And take a slow breath in.
And as you breathe out,
Say quietly to yourself,
I have done what I can.
I can trust myself and I can meet whatever comes next.
And when you're ready imagine slowly and carefully stepping out of the bath.
Perhaps leaving a little worry or pressure.
Right there allowing the water to carry it away.
And whenever you're ready.
Come back to your day.
A little softer,
Lighter.
And perhaps a little more trusting.
Of yourself.
