Welcome to your evening exhale meditation.
So for a few moments now,
Allow yourself to get comfortable.
Like a candle.
Snuggle up in your bed.
There is nowhere you need to go,
Nothing you need to accomplish.
For these next few minutes,
You can simply be here.
So take a slow breath in.
And a long breath out.
Again,
Breathing in.
And out.
Allow yourself to arrive.
Perhaps there is something you're carrying tonight.
Something uncertain or unresolved.
Something you don't have an answer for yet.
And maybe you've been trying to think your way through it.
Trying to understand or predict.
To make sure you'll be okay.
And for now,
Please know that you will be.
And that you can put any questions or worry down.
And let them rest beside you.
Bring your awareness gently to your body.
Notice the places where you may be holding.
Your shoulders,
Chest,
Stomach.
Simply notice them.
There's no need to change anything.
You can meet yourself exactly where you are.
There is something very human about not knowing,
Worrying,
Standing at the edge of something.
We often want certainty to know what will happen,
To know that we'll cope.
And Perhaps tonight.
You can give yourself permission to not know.
You don't need to see the whole path.
You need to simply be here.
Take a breath.
And silently say to yourself.
I don't know yet.
And then.
.
.
I don't need to know yet.
Feel the difference.
Feel perhaps a little more space around those words.
Think about all the things you've moved through before.
The beginnings,
The places,
The moments you wondered how you'd get through.
And he did.
You didn't always know how or have the answers.
You simply lived moment by moment,
Breath by breath.
And perhaps you can trust.
That there is something within you that knows how to meet life as it unfolds.
Perhaps trust is simply saying to yourself.
.
.
I can meet myself there,
Whatever comes,
Whatever I feel,
Whatever I discover.
I can meet myself there.
And if there's a little worry or anxiety.
You can let it sit beside you.
You don't need to fight or follow it.
You can simply say.
I see you.
I know you're trying to protect me.
And for now.
We can soften.
Let your body hear those words.
And take a breath.
You can be here in this room in this moment.
Tomorrow will come when it comes.
And when it does,
You will have the opportunity to meet what it holds then.
Tonight belongs to you.
So let yourself soften into the evening.
Into the unknown.
Let yourself be unfinished,
Uncertain.
You are not behind.
You are not failing.
You are simply in the middle of your life.
And life is always changing.
Take one more slow breath in.
And out.
Feel the weight of your body.
Let yourself be held.
Let the day be over and tomorrow wait.
And now.
You are safe to rest.
Just resting.
Breathing.
And when you are ready.
Allow yourself.
