The Om Shanti mantra is an invocation to peace. As I have often done in previous work, I have used the idiom of Western folk music with an Eastern flavour of chanting to create what I hope is a more universal form. As always, the performance of this music is simple, with a single voice and banjo played live with just one take to capture authenticity. I recorded this only minutes after the idea came to me and I wrote the song. Sing along with the song. Dance or move if you wish.
