Dance with sorrow when it is your partner,

When you cannot keep time with hope.

Step into the arms of what your heart is facing and embrace it until it lets go.

This beautiful piece by Angie Waters reminds me of how,

As humans,

We often tend to resist our painful emotions.

We try to avoid them by distracting ourselves or by suppressing those emotions.

But if we can see that we always have a choice,

A choice to take a deep breath and slow down,

A choice to arrive in an open and healing gentle presence and feel it all,

Allowing the emotion to be here,

No judgments,

Just watching it,

Observing it,

Feeling it.

And then you begin to see that there is no place for the painful energy to root anymore.

You naturally begin to let go and surrender.

By embracing the present moment,

Dear one,

We go deeper into our healing journeys and we give ourselves permission to flow and be in harmony with life.

So let us take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.

Being in this present moment and letting it go.
