Most of us spend the day from the neck up. This meditation is an invitation back into the body — slowly, without force, without an agenda. We'll move through a gentle body scan, using breath and sensation as anchors. You don't need any experience with meditation to do this. You don't need to feel calm before you start. You just need ten minutes and somewhere to sit or lie down. This is the first meditation in the Arriving series — a collection for anyone who wants a simple, grounded place to begin. Jaron Vesely is a somatic therapist-in-training and guided meditation teacher based in Oakland, California. He works with individuals navigating anxiety, life transitions, identity, and the body's role in all of it.
