This is a great meditation for anyone who is starting out on their meditation journey, or anyone who wants to get back to the basics. This meditation focusses on slowing your breathing down and releasing any tension you may be carrying. This meditation will leave you filled with love and light.

Hello and welcome to this meditation on getting back to the basics.

This is a good meditation for anybody starting off on their meditation journey or anybody who just wants to get back to the basics.

Just start in a comfortable position,

Either laying down on a bed or the ground or sitting upright with your feet planted.

There is no right or wrong position for you to be in.

Whatever position you're comfortable in is the right position for you.

Whether you are new to meditation or just need a refresh,

You are in the right place.

I'll remind you that you are safe and you are loved.

Now start with your eyes closed and deepen your breathing.

Take a deep breath in and let it all out.

Focus on slowing your breathing.

Feel the cool air entering your nose and the warm air coming out.

With each breath,

Relax your body more and more.

If you're holding any tension,

Try to let it go with each breath.

Try to unclench your jaw and relax your face.

Maybe roll your shoulders up and back and then let them fall.

Just release any tension you're holding.

Take a deep breath in,

Hold it at the top and let it go.

Remember this is exactly where you are supposed to be.

Whatever happened in your day up until this point has led you to here and now.

Any thoughts that may pop up,

Let them sit for a second without any judgment and then just let them pass,

Pass on by.

Bring your focus right back to your breathing.

Now as you inhale,

Imagine you are breathing in love and light.

Take a deep breath and fill up your soul with love and light.

When you exhale,

Breathe out any anxiety or any tension that you are holding.

Breathe in love and light and exhale anxiety or tension.

Whenever you are ready,

Slowly open up your eyes.

Take in your surroundings.

Remember take this love and light that you just filled your soul with and take that throughout your day.

Take a deep breath in and out.
