Welcome to this meditation on taking a midday break or reset.
It doesn't matter what time it is,
It could be morning,
Afternoon,
Or night.
You're here right now to take a break and reset your mindset.
So we're going to start in a comfortable position,
Either laying down or sitting up with your feet planted.
Now we're going to start by focusing on your breathing.
If you choose,
You can put your left hand over your heart and your right hand over your stomach.
You can start to feel your breathing,
Your stomach rising and falling.
With your eyes closed,
You can feel the warmth of your hand over top of your heart.
Feel the light pressure of your hand.
You are safe and you are comfortable.
Whatever happened up until this point in your day,
Just let go any thoughts.
Let them pass through your mind like floating clouds.
Take a deep breath in and let it all out.
And now we're going to do a body scan to feel exactly where you're holding any tension.
We're going to start from the tip of your head to the tip of your toes.
In between your brows,
Are you holding any tension?
Just release it.
In your jaw,
Are you clenching?
Have you been clenching?
Just release.
Breathe in and every inhale you release your tension.
Move down to your neck and your shoulders.
Any tension you've been holding in your shoulders,
Just release.
Let them fall back.
Whatever you're laying or sitting on,
Let support you.
And move down to your chest.
Feel your hand over your heart.
Feel the warmth.
Down to your stomach.
Any tension you're holding in your stomach,
Just release.
With each breath,
You become more and more relaxed.
And move down to your pelvis and your glutes.
Maybe you've been sitting all day or standing.
Release any of that tension you've been holding.
Move down to your legs,
Your calves,
Your ankles.
Anything you've been holding,
Just let it go.
Right down to the tips of your toes.
Take a deep breath in.
Hold it right at the top and let it out.
Much like a phone or a device,
We need a factory reset sometimes or a software upgrade.
Take this time to recharge and change your mindset.
Recharge your mind,
Your body and your spirit.
Keep breathing in and out.
Take this time to think about where your mind has been today.
Can you be kinder and softer with your thoughts and your soft talk?
Could you be kinder to yourself with your food and water intake?
Take this moment to decide to start fresh and reset your mind,
Your body and your spirit.
We can take on the rest of the day and be kind to ourselves.
We deserve that,
Don't we?
Take more deep breaths.
Completely relax your body.
All of the tension is gone.
Now if you'd like,
Repeat after me.
From here on out,
I will be kind to my body,
My mind and my spirit.
I will spread joy and love to myself and everyone I interact with today.
Today is a good day.
Take a deep breath in and let it all go.
Now slowly open your eyes.
Look around your environment and take it all in.
Now you're ready for the rest of your day.
