The morning breeze brings something foreign from another place.
My dog Zoey sniffs the air.
Then,
In a burst of energy,
She prances and dances,
Wanting to play.
In the earth's spin,
There are no barriers to what the air can bring.
Who knows what exotic smell could set us dancing?
Bring your dance inside to the dance halls of your mind,
Where you can dance as you please in the great empty silence of the ages.
Let yourself feel the limitless space available inside,
And do not hasten to fill it.
Sitting here,
Leave the silence enough to be the one who experiences the silence,
And experience it with your whole physical being,
Your feet and legs,
Your thighs and waist,
Your middle and chest,
Your arms and hands,
Your neck and head.
So too with your emotions.
If you experience a feeling,
Welcome it,
But if not,
Enjoy the peace in the knowledge that sometime,
Maybe soon,
Maybe later,
A feeling will show up,
Inevitably.
It matters not what feeling it is,
Only that you extend your hand to it.
It is spirit that supplies the music to which we each dance our lives.
Open your ears,
Free your feet,
Feel the encouragement,
The familiar tunes and the new melodies,
The songs that spirit sings to you.
May you dance through this day.
Your gift today is dance.
