For letting go,
For forgiving and for finding inner peace.
You don't need to do anything now.
Everything can come to rest.
Gently close your eyes,
Breathe in deeply and slowly out again.
Once more,
Deeply in and out.
With each breath you sink deeper into the stillness of the evening.
Your body becomes wonderfully heavy.
Your mind becomes quiet.
Your heart expands.
Now let the day pass by you once more,
Without judging,
Without holding on,
Simply letting it be there.
What was may now find peace.
What's left unfinished may wait.
Everything may rest now.
Breathe in deeply and with the exhale let go more and more.
Expectations,
Small tensions in your body.
They dissolve in the vast space of the night.
Now feel into the gratitude,
The gratitude for this day,
For all the valuable things you experienced,
Learned and felt.
Even if some things were difficult.
You grew from them.
You managed it.
You gave your best.
Let this gratitude flow through your heart like gentle warm light.
And with each breath this light becomes brighter and deeper.
Now speak quietly within.
I forgive myself.
I forgive others.
I let go.
Feel how something within you releases,
Softens.
The day may end now and you may gently and lovingly drift into sleep.
Breathe calmly and imagine how you sink into a soft field of golden light,
Protective and warm.
It carries you.
It holds you.
It gently rocks you into the night.
Everything may be.
Everything may rest.
You are here,
Safe and held.
