Welcome to this guided meditation.
Today you are going to embark on a journey to meet your future self.
This is going to help you gain insight,
Wisdom and inspiration from the person you are destined to become.
So find a really comfy position,
Preferably seated with your back straight but you can lie down if that feels better for you and gently close your eyes.
Take a deep breath in and as you exhale release any tension or stress you might be holding onto.
Focus on your breath,
Inhale deeply through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth.
With each breath allow yourself to become more relaxed.
Feel the gentle rise and fall of your chest and abdomen as you breathe.
Now bring your attention to your body.
Start with your toes and gradually work your way up.
Notice any areas of tension and consciously relax them.
If you do feel tension you can try and move this away with a breath.
Feel your feet,
Calves,
Knees,
Thighs,
Hips,
Abdomen,
Chest,
Shoulders,
Neck and finally your head.
Sink deeper into relaxation.
Imagine a beautiful peaceful place in nature.
This could be a forest,
A beach,
A meadow or anywhere that feels serene and safe to you.
Picture yourself standing in this place,
Feeling the gentle breeze and hearing the soothing sounds around you.
Take it all in through your senses.
You now notice a path ahead of you.
This path is inviting and it seems to be calling you to follow it.
You feel curious so you begin to walk along this path.
As you walk you notice the scenery around you gradually changing.
The colours become more vibrant.
The air feels fresher.
You sense a feeling of excitement building within you.
You are walking towards your future.
After a few moments you come to a clearing.
In the bench is your future self radiating warmth,
Wisdom and confidence.
You feel an instant connection and a real sense of calm as you approach.
Your future self has achieved all of your dreams and is living the ideal life you have envisioned and are working towards.
They invite you to join them on the bench.
Take a moment to observe and appreciate this person you will become.
Notice their appearance,
Their demeanour,
The expression on their face and most importantly the energy they radiate.
Take all of this in with your senses.
Your future self smiles at you and welcomes you warmly.
You begin to have a conversation with your future self and you ask them to share any wisdom or advice with you.
Maybe you want to know about the path you should take,
The decisions you need to make or the obstacles you might face.
Your future self is here to offer reassurance and insight.
Allow this dialogue to flow naturally and openly.
Your future self reminds you of your strengths,
Your passions and your purpose.
Feel the support and love from your future self knowing that they are always with you,
Guiding you and cheering you on.
Trust in the wisdom and clarity you are receiving.
Now your future self shares a piece of paper with you which holds a very special message.
The message might be an image or a word or a sentence or maybe a collection of photos.
Take a look at the paper and take in the message.
Thank your future self for their guidance and wisdom.
They remind you that you can return to this place and connect with them whenever you need support or insight.
They are here whenever you need to feel encouraged or empowered.
As you stand up from the bench take one last look at your future self.
You feel grateful for this encounter and you tell them that you will not let them down.
Begin to walk back along the path feeling lighter,
More confident and inspired.
Gradually the scenery starts to shift back to the peaceful place where you began.
Bring your awareness back to your breath now,
Feeling the rise and fall of your chest and abdomen.
Take a moment to sit quietly and reflect on your experience and the guidance you just received.
How will you incorporate what you just learned in your daily life?
What is one thing you can do differently today based on this experience?
You might want to take some time to write down any thoughts or emotions that came up or you might prefer to share your experience with a friend.
Take time to honour yourself and appreciate the effort you've put into your well-being and future today.
When you feel ready gently open your eyes.
