Bring your attention to your breath and just notice the natural rhythm of your inhale and your exhale.
Allow yourself to arrive fully into this moment by letting the outside world fade into the background for a while.

Welcome to my chakra healing and activation series.
In this series we work with each of the 7 main energy centres in the body one by one,
Gently bringing them back into balance and flow.
You can use these activations on their own or return to them as a set whenever you feel called to.
A chakra is an energy centre within your body and each one relates to a different part of you,
Your emotions,
Your mind,
Your sense of self,
Your intuition,
Your connection to life.
When a chakra is open and balanced,
Energy moves through you more freely and you feel clearer,
Calmer and more aligned.
When it is blocked or underactive you might feel closed off,
Guarded or disconnected from yourself and others.
Today we are working with the heart chakra.
The heart chakra is the centre of compassion,
Of love and emotional connection.
It holds your capacity to give and receive,
To feel empathy,
To forgive,
To soften,
To stay open even when life has been challenging.
This chakra is not only about love for others,
It is about kindness towards yourself,
Acceptance,
Understanding your own emotional world without any judgement.
And personally this is often the chakra that feels the most sensitive for me.
It is the one that I feel closing when life feels overwhelming,
But also the one that responds most deeply when I bring Reiki and attention to it.
It is also the one I see as most receptive in my work as a Reiki master.
It is really normal for people to feel blocked here and it is the area I most enjoy working on.
I can feel the release and opening the strongest here,
So this is an area I return to the most.
And you might recognise something similar in yourself here.
When this centre is open you feel warmth and connection.
You allow closeness without fear.
You treat yourself with gentleness.
You move through life with a sense of openness.
The heart chakra sits at the centre of your chest and it is a meeting point between physical and emotional awareness,
Between vulnerability and strength.
The colour of the heart chakra is my favourite,
Green.
Fresh,
Alive,
Nurturing green.
This is the colour of growth and renewal.
So I'm going to ask you to imagine a soft green light glowing at the centre of your chest.
This light feels gentle and comforting,
Like a warm presence expanding outward.
With every inhale imagine that green light becoming brighter,
Fuller,
Spreading softly through your chest.
As you breathe your heart chakra begins to glow.
Really connect to that glow.
A beautiful green energy opening through your chest and shoulders.
You might feel some warmth,
Some softening,
Some emotional spaciousness.
Or simply some awareness there.
Just let the green light wash through your chest.
Releasing any tension.
Easing protection that is no longer needed.
You are creating space for compassion and connection.
With every breath let the green light grow stronger.
Imagine it like a forest filled with calm,
Steady life.
Grounded,
Balanced,
Alive.
Imagine this light touching everything around you.
This makes you feel more open,
More supported.
Let this green energy flow through your whole body.
Bringing ease,
Bringing kindness,
Bringing emotional balance.
Rest your awareness at the centre of your chest,
Bathed in green light.
Imagine a soft circle of green energy spinning there.
Slowly at first,
Then more freely.
This makes you feel more balanced,
More connected,
More you.
Silently repeat in your mind,
I give and receive with ease.
I am open to connection.
I treat myself with kindness.
Let these words settle into the green glow.
And just stay here for a few quiet breaths.
If it feels right for you,
Gently place your hand over your heart.
And feel the warmth and energy there.
Resting in this compassionate awareness.
You have now gently activated and balanced your heart chakra.
And just take a moment to notice how you feel.
Any sensations,
Any subtle shifts.
And take a moment to thank yourself for choosing to feel a little more connected today.
Gently bring your attention back to your breath now.
If your hand is raised,
Bring it back down to your lap.
And bring yourself back to your body.
Back to the room around you.
And slowly open your eyes.
