Hello,
My name is Intuitive Karen.
This meditation is useful when you are looking for an idea,
Inspiration,
Or burst of creativity into your life.
Maybe you have a deadline and have no idea where to start.
Maybe you want inspiration on what to do,
Say,
Or experience next in your life.
I do this meditation frequently before teaching a meditation class or coaching a client so I can tap into the well of universal knowledge that is available to each of us if only we ask.
Today we will be calling on our ancestors for help.
We all have tens of thousands of people who have come before us ready to offer their expertise,
Wisdom and direction to us.
In this meditation we will do just that.
So let's begin.
Find a comfortable seat.
You can do this meditation seated or lying down.
Allow your eyes to close.
Let's take a long slow deep breath in,
Feeling the air as it travels through your body filling up your lungs.
Hold it there.
Hold it.
Notice your lungs filled with air.
Slowly let it out,
Watching the air leave your lungs,
Travel up your body through your sinuses,
Out your nostrils.
Then hold it out.
Notice what it feels like to have your body empty of air.
Let's do this once more.
Long,
Slow,
Deep breath in.
Hold it.
Slowly let it out.
And hold it.
Now breathe normally,
Watching your breath as it goes in and out,
Relaxing every part of your body with every breath.
Let's take a quick body scan to allow us to relax even more fully.
Notice your head.
Are your jaws clenched?
If so,
Relax them.
Move down to your shoulders and release them of all tension.
Examine your arms,
Hands and fingers.
Allow them to relax.
Notice your back,
Your upper,
Middle and lower back,
Releasing any tension that is built up.
Now move your attention to your belly,
Your hips and your legs.
Is there anything in these areas that need to relax?
Do that now.
Bring your attention to your feet,
The top of your feet,
The ball of your feet,
The heels and the toes.
Totally relax now,
Ready to receive.
In your mind's eye,
Imagine thousands of people gathering around you.
There are so many people they fill up an entire football stadium.
Or maybe you see them in a green hilly field.
Notice the faces.
You will see people from all areas of the earth wearing different clothes.
There are both men and women,
Young and old,
From different time periods.
All of these people have in some way donated some DNA to you,
Gave you a piece of who you are.
Maybe you notice that some are playing an instrument,
Reading,
Writing or just hanging out.
Maybe you recognize some faces in the crowd.
Spend some time now looking over the crowd and giving thanks to all of them for being there to help you.
We will now allow your ancestors to speak to you.
You may hear some words,
Notice a taste or a smell,
Or just get a sense of knowing what to do next.
You may not get anything specific,
Just a wave of peace.
I will pause for five minutes to let your messages come through.
During this time you can either focus on the crowd,
Scanning back and forth and watch your ancestors feel their presence.
Or you may choose to listen to the music,
Hearing every note,
Letting the music get into your soul.
But pick just one of these,
Don't go back and forth.
You can always choose another option next time.
During the silence you may have thoughts,
Feelings or physical sensations and you probably will.
That's okay.
Just notice them and gently bring your attention back to the music or back to the faces in the crowd.
If an idea or inspiration hits you,
Don't stop.
In your mind's eye put it on a bookshelf to pick up after the meditation is finished,
Allowing time for more information to come in.
One last thing,
Don't try,
Allow.
Whatever happens,
Whoever you see,
Whatever you feel is perfect.
I'll watch the time.

Time to come back now,
Back to the present moment.
Pick up anything you left on the bookshelf to take with you to integrate that into your life.
Wiggle your fingers,
Wiggle your toes,
Coming back to the present.
Thank your ancestors for any insights you were given,
Knowing you can return at any time for more guidance.
Now let's take a long,
Slow deep breath in.
Hold it and release it.
Let's do this once more.
Inhale.
Hold it and exhale.
Keeping your eyes to blink open when you are ready.
