Now take a deep breath and let it go.
Just relax.
Loosen your shoulders.
Lift your arms and then drop them.
Raise your legs slightly and then relax them.
Just get all the tension out of your muscles.
Take another deep breath and let it go and really relax.
One more breath and this time as you breathe out,
Slowly close your eyes.
Now breathe normally for a few moments and think about how your arms and legs feel.
Become aware of the weight of your body.
Now slowly open your eyes and then close them as you breathe out and allow your body to relax even more.
Now think back in your life.
Think back to a time when you had a success.
Think back to a time when you had control.
When you felt good about something you had done,
Something you achieved.
Remember that time.
Allow all of it to come to the mind now.
Remember how you felt,
What you saw,
What you heard.
Immerse yourself now in that experience.
Build it up in your mind until it is like you were there back in that moment.
Feel it in your body,
What it felt like to be there,
To be happy,
A winner,
In control,
Successful.
Bring to mind some object,
Some symbol,
Something that you associate with that time and that feeling.
And now focus on that symbol and feel the feeling and make the feeling stronger and stronger.
The feeling of confidence,
Of success.
Now as that feeling grows stronger,
As that symbol gets clearer,
Feel the power in you as it builds.
Press the left thumb and index finger together.
Press that index finger into the tender flesh at the side of the thumbnail or the top of the thumbnail and dig the nail in and get a slightly painful feeling.
Let the power grow and as it does,
Press those fingers tighter and tighter and then release that hand and let all the tension go and just relax the whole of your body.
Now slowly open your eyes and then close them again as you breathe out and allow your body to relax even more.
Now allow your mind to drift away.
Think back to some time,
Some event,
Some incident when you felt anger,
Real anger at something,
When you totally refused to go along with something,
To let something happen.
And imagine now that you are there now,
Really feel what it is like to be there,
Back in that situation.
Take a few moments and experience again how it was to be that angry,
That fired up.
Now find something,
Some object,
Some symbol that you associate with that incident,
That feeling,
Something that reminds you of how it is to be that angry,
That justified anger.
And as you experience that feeling in your mind,
Make that symbol,
That object stronger and clearer and make the link between the symbol and the feeling as strong as it can be in whatever way makes sense to you.
And when you have that link between that symbol and that feeling really strong,
Think of the symbol and now press your right finger into the thumbnail skin.
Feel the fingers digging into each other as you intensify the memory of that anger and that thing that symbolizes it.
And then release that hand and let all the tension go and just relax.
On your next inhale,
Slowly open your eyes and then close them again as you breathe out and allow your body to relax even more.
Now bring to mind something that symbolizes that unwanted feeling you get.
Become aware of the feeling.
Let it build up in your mind.
Feel it in your body.
You can do this.
You can allow that feeling to come into your mind,
Your body,
Because it is only a memory and nothing in your own memories can even harm you.
And think about what might symbolize that feeling.
Bring that symbol to mind and allow the feeling to come forward.
Just be curious about the feeling,
How you have it,
Where you feel it.
It cannot harm you.
You can regard it as if it was something that has come into you,
As if you're looking at it,
Sensing it from the outside,
That has nothing to do with you.
And when you're ready,
And when you have decided that you've had enough of that feeling,
Think of the image of that feeling.
And then press both index fingers hard into the thumbs at the same time.
Bring to mind those feelings of power,
And achievement,
And anger,
And the symbols of both hands.
Let those feelings overwhelm the bad feeling,
And the symbols of power combine with and wipe out the symbol of the bad feeling.
Feel that power flush through you.
See that old feeling being destroyed.
Feel it twist and die.
Enjoy the feeling of wiping it out.
Now slowly open your eyes,
And try to think of that old situation again.
Feel what you get now,
And be aware of how it has changed.
