Inner smile meditation.
This practice can be done seated,
Standing,
Or lying down.
Begin by taking a few deep breaths,
Sighing away any tension,
Stress,
Worry.
One more,
Inhaling new energy.
Exhale,
Release any contraction anywhere in the body or the mind.
Focus on your lower abdomen,
A hand width below the belly button and an inch inside the body near the spine.
Breathe into this point,
Waking up your lower dantian,
Your center of vitality.
Good,
Then bring the awareness to the top of the head,
The very crown of the skull,
And see a white light penetrating the crown of the skull or any color you prefer,
Shining down starlight,
Sunlight,
Moonlight.
Feeling the crown of the head open.
And send this expansive energy from the sky,
The stars,
Down through the brain,
Spinal cord,
Organs,
Into the lower belly,
And down into the earth,
Out through the soles of your feet,
Out through your perineum.
Feel connected to supportive energies from above and below.
And feel the connection of heaven and earth,
Sky and ground and your human body in between.
Begin the inner smile.
Imagine in front of you a smiling face or a beautiful place that you love or an animal.
And feel the corners of your lips softly turn upward in the presence of this loving,
Friendly energy.
Expand this sensation and try to connect to the feeling of unconditional love all around you,
Just from existing.
See this unconditional love as a golden or a violet light.
Place or tap on the middle of your forehead and the top of your head.
Imagine drawing in the smiling face in front of you and the golden or violet unconditional love through the crown of the head,
Through the mid-eyebrow.
Immediately feel the brain light up,
Smile to the brain.
Feel that it gets lighter,
Softer,
Smoother,
More full of love,
Life and vitality in the brain.
Feel the right side of the brain,
Left side of the brain,
Center of the brain,
All smiling,
Full of energy.
Allow this smiling sensation to be like a liquid light.
Allow it to drip down into the face,
The sense organs,
Eyes,
Nose,
Tongue,
Lips and teeth,
Ears,
Salivary glands,
The skin of your face.
Feel all of these structures lighting up,
Freed from pain,
Free from tension and worry,
Preventing any illness that might arise later.
Swallow the liquid light down through the throat to the thyroid gland.
Feel it blossoming open like a bright flower in your throat.
Gulp the smiling golden violet light down into the thymus gland,
Under the sternum,
The center of the chest.
Feeling a vibrant red rose blossoming,
Emitting fragrance from the center of the chest,
A smiling red rose.
Allow the liquid light of the smile to fill your lungs.
Every capillary,
Every tiny particle exchanging oxygen.
Feel the lungs smiling,
Lifting up inside the body,
Growing stronger,
Fuller.
And allow the liquid light to drip and soak into the heart near the left side of the chest,
Foaming and softening the heart of any aching,
Freeing the heart from pain,
Physical or emotional.
See the heart smiling,
Getting lighter,
Healthier,
Stronger.
The liquid light travels now into the spleen,
Stomach,
Pancreas,
All under the left rib cage,
Saturated with the light.
If you lose touch with it,
Just reactivate the top of the head and the crown.
Remember the smiling face,
The loving person or place in front of you and the unconditional love that is the fabric of existence and breathe it back in through these higher structures all the way down into the digestive organs,
Freeing the digestive organs from worry,
Filling them with strength,
Love,
Joyfulness.
See them smiling and lifting up inside,
All the cells becoming repaired,
Returning to their perfect natural state.
Allow the light to slosh over to the right rib cage,
The liver,
Soothing the liver from any frustration,
Anger,
Rage.
Feel the liver soften as your loving awareness touches it,
Holds it,
Embraces the liver.
The liver smiles and lifts up inside the body,
Becoming more vibrant,
More able to do the work that it needs to do to support your body.
Feel also the back of these organs,
Close to the ribs in the back.
And like a waterfall,
This light gushes down into the intestines,
Small intestine,
Closer to the center of the body,
Large intestine travels up the right side of the torso,
Across the center and down the left side of the torso.
You can feel as if a diamond liquid light is purifying the walls of the intestines,
Allowing them to become brighter,
More able to absorb energy from your food,
More able to push out the waste.
Feel the intestines smiling,
Bubbly like champagne bubbles.
Relax the guts,
The organs,
Let them bathe in the liquid light of your inner smile.
Allow the light to now penetrate your kidneys near the last ribs in the back and the adrenal glands on top are stress and sex hormones.
Feel the inner smile soothing the kidneys and the adrenals from any overwork,
Overstrain,
Excessive painful emotion.
And feel a vast ocean of smiling energy in your lower back,
Relaxing the back,
The sacrum,
The hips,
All the way into the pelvis,
Pelvic organs,
Relaxing the sexual organs,
The ovaries.
Feel them bathed in this smiling,
Loving energy.
Deep reverence.
Feel this beautiful,
Smiling energy lifting the pelvic organs,
Lifting the kidneys,
Like a small sprout popping out of the ground,
Fresh with new life.
So excited to reach towards the sun,
The sky.
Allow this to penetrate also the bladder in the front near the pubic bone,
Clearing any infection,
Inflammation,
Tension.
Allow the inner smile to travel down both thighs,
Into the knees,
Into the lower legs,
Ankles,
Feet,
And toes.
From head to toe,
Feel your bones now.
All the bones in the body filled with liquid,
Loving light,
Smiling energy,
Like fizzy bubbles,
Invigorating your bone marrow,
The place where your red and white bone,
Where your red and white blood cells are made,
Improving your immune system,
Your energy level.
Feel all the bones glowing with this smiling energy,
Radiating a smiling energy out to everyone you touch,
To everyone that lays eyes on you,
And out to nature that surrounds and embraces you.
Allow the inner smile to now fill every cell of your body,
Every neuron in your brain.
Feel a clear light,
That the body is completely crystal clear,
Or maybe a rainbow color,
Totally free from illness,
Pain,
Tension,
Worry,
Completely crystal clear,
Smiling,
Loving energy.
And slowly bring your awareness back into your heart.
Feel a smile in your heart,
And feel the heart pumping blood to every part of your body,
Deepening the chemicals you've just triggered with your own mind through your whole bloodstream to meet every tissue,
Every organ.
And then brush down from your heart to your lower abdomen.
Rest your hands at your lower abdomen.
If you have any saliva,
Breathe in.
And on the exhale,
Swallow it down,
Imagine it touching down into your lower abdomen,
Center of vitality.
Collect all of your awareness now at your lower abdomen.
Feel a strong sense of center and strength.
And feel you are as big as the universe,
The entire universe in your body.
Feel the warmth at your lower abdomen,
Allow that warm sensation to spread,
Circling your hands around your navel,
First in one direction,
Allowing your fingers to drag over the skin of your abdomen.
Then circling the other way,
Collecting the loving energy from the universe into your center,
Making it the center of your being,
The place from which you operate every action of your life,
Every thought comes back to this loving,
Smiling energy.
Hands over the lower belly once more.
Take a deep breath in and a sigh.
Just one more time,
Breathe in.
And a nice satisfied sigh.
Relax.
Stretch.
You can massage your hands together and rub any part of your body that needs more healing.
You can also massage your face.
Run your fingers through your hair.
You can massage your ears,
Your neck,
Shoulders,
And come back to the present moment.
Feel free to take a nap to further digest this meditation and practice once a day for 30 days or 90 days if you can,
Or just smile to any organ,
Any place in your body,
Anytime you feel physical,
Mental,
Or emotional pain,
Meet it with the inner smile and with a sense of spaciousness.
This is the end of practice.
Taking gratitude for nature,
For Mother Earth,
And for each other,
And for the vast sky and universe above us,
Around us,
That can help us find a new path forward.
