Hello and welcome to this meditation,
Embrace Your Fear,
Embody Your Potential.
I invite you to begin by finding a comfortable position,
Whether sitting or laying down.
And you can close your eyes softly,
Just allowing yourself to relax into this moment.
My name is Sage and it's an honor to guide you through this meditation.
Fear is so prevalent inside us,
Outside us,
And it can be so paralyzing sometimes.
And when we feel fear,
Many people often try to push it away or else are completely flooded by it,
Causing their nervous systems to collapse and become stuck.
By pushing it away,
The fear increases or becomes lodged in our nervous systems to show its face again and again.
What's so fascinating about fear though is this polarity dynamic that we experience.
When we embrace fear,
Without judging it or trying to change it in any way,
We can expand our capacity from I can't to I can.
And you become an empowered force of nature,
Able to hold the inner fears and yet still showing up in your full self.
So let's take a breath in,
A deep breath in,
And I invite you to feel the air filling your lungs.
And then exhaling slowly,
Releasing any tension you might be holding on to.
And just let your breath become your anchor here as you breathe,
Guiding you into a state of calmness and openness.
And as you settle into this space,
You can bring your attention to the sensation of fear.
And just noticing where the sensation resides in your body.
So this might look like a tightness in your chest,
Or a knot in your stomach,
Or tension in your shoulders.
And you can allow yourself to observe these sensations with a gentle curiosity,
Without judgment.
We often perceive fear as a sign of weakness or inadequacy,
As something to be avoided or suppressed.
But what if fear is not an absence of capability,
Yet rather an opportunity for growth and expansion?
What I find in our nervous systems is that often our symptoms are the seeds for our transformation,
And hold the very medicine that our souls need to move forward in life.
So I invite you just to feel here the sensation as it shows up in your body.
Just observing that sensation and saying,
I see you.
And if at any time the sensation becomes too strong,
You can come back to the feeling of earth under your body.
Breathing in love and just titrating out of any uncomfortable sensations.
And then when you're ready,
You can go back into the sensation.
Not the story,
But true sensation as it shows up and moves through your body.
Just tracking this,
Allowing it to be in every moment that you allow and embrace whatever shows up in this moment.
You're expanding how much you can hold.
You're shifting what really even affects you.
So I invite you to inhale deeply,
Inviting acceptance and compassion into your being with this breath.
And let's see if you can expand your energy field,
Your sense of self.
And as you exhale,
Just imagine yourself embracing the fear,
Welcoming it with open arms,
Loving arms.
And feel its presence without any resistance.
Just acknowledging that within this fear exists immense potential and strength.
Joseph Campbell said,
The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure that you seek.
So consider the fears that have held you back,
The caves you have stopped yourself from exploring.
Who could you be if this fear did not stop you?
Who could you be if this fear was allowed to be there and you were to act anyway?
Who could you be if you allowed yourself to become your most compassionate,
Empowered self?
With each breath,
Allow yourself to sink deeper into this realization.
And how does this feel in your body to notice that version of yourself?
What do you notice about this version of yourself who can hold this courage,
This curiosity?
How does this version of you want to show up in the world?
What do they want to do and say?
What stages do they want to take?
What opportunities do they want to seize?
Breathe into this.
This is you.
And placing a hand on your heart,
Through the eyes of this version of you,
From this perspective,
You can say to yourself,
I forgive all parts of myself that bought into the conditioning and limitations of fear.
That thought,
That fear was something I had to get rid of in order to show up as myself in this world.
I forgive those parts of myself now.
And let's take a deep cleansing breath in and out.
Releasing any cords of energy,
Emotions attached to that limiting perspective of what fear is.
Another deep breath in and out.
Releasing any conditioning from society,
From your family system,
That told you fear was not okay or caused the origins of this fear in your body.
And as you continue to breathe,
Repeat to yourself,
I can.
And maybe this is silent.
Or maybe you express this statement in some way with sound or with your body.
Affirm this statement.
I can.
Feel these words reverberating through your being.
They resonate with the truth of your inherent capacity.
And even if there's still some feelings of fear,
Affirm to yourself now,
I am capable to face whatever challenges might arise.
And breathe this in,
I can.
Allowing this stance to infuse you with courage and empowerment.
Your own inner light.
And if there are any knowings,
Any messages that arise for you,
Breathe those in.
Anchor those in to your neural pathways,
To your energetic frequency.
Any senses of trust or acceptance or empowerment,
Just breathe those in.
You are the resilience that can hold the fear and emerge even stronger because it exists.
You are the clarity that cuts through limited perspective.
You are everything you have been waiting for.
And as we bring this meditation to a close,
You can take one final deep breath to fill yourself with gratitude for the wisdom and insight gained through embracing your fear.
And let that breath out,
Allowing yourself to feel the full capacity of your energy,
Of your potential.
And when you feel ready,
You can gently open your eyes and return to this present moment with a renewed sense of whatever messages you received today.
And remember,
Dear one,
That within the depths of fear lies the boundless capacity of your spirit,
The infinite nature of your being.
So let's embrace it,
Explore it,
And watch as all the blessings and treasures of your true potential unfold before you.
