The Tapping Formula
The tapping formula is the basic structure used in EFT to help the body calm down while you focus on a specific emotion or issue. It always follows the same flow so your mind and nervous system know what to expect: Identify the issue — choose one emotion, thought, or physical sensation to focus on. Rate the intensity — give it a number from 0–10 so you can track changes. Setup statement — while tapping the Karate Chop point, say: “Even though I feel ____, I deeply and completely accept myself.” Tap through the points — move through each tapping point while using a reminder phrase like “this stress” or “this tightness.” Re‑rate the intensity — check the number again and repeat rounds until it drops.

We have a formula that we always use for tapping.
So we start by bringing to mind a situation or a feeling,
A time that we felt something.
We're then going to scan our body and locate where we experience that feeling.
We then move on to giving it a rating.
So if we're dealing with difficult situations,
0 will be no disturbance,
10 being the highest.
If we're dealing with trying to foster good situations,
Then zero is that we're not feeling that good emotion at all.
10 is the best we've ever felt.
We always begin by tapping on that karate chop point on the side of the hand.
And completing a self-affirming statement three times.
We then to continue going through each of the tapping points,
Following along with me with statements that I'll give to you.
And once we're done,
We tune back into our body.
Pay attention to how that feeling has shifted or changed.
And we go ahead and give it a rating again to see and quantify what has happened within that experience.
