Welcome to this ASEAN Eastertide Meditation.
In this 10-minute practice,
We welcome the breath to make space for new life.
Gently tending what is emerging and releasing what is passing away.
Together,
We simply notice the ways resurrection changed Jesus and allow space for our own to take shape.
There will be invitations with the breath.
Reflections offered,
And times of silence.
With the inhale.
Receive and expand.
With the exhale,
Release and let go.
Receive and expand.
Release and let go.
We can make space for newness as we inhale.
And free up space for more as we exhale.
Inhale,
Make space for newness.
Exhale,
Free up space for more.
We can invite connection with the whole body.
As we inhale.
And to allow relaxation and release as we exhale.
Inviting connection with the whole body.
As we inhale,
Allowing relaxation and release as we exhale.
Inhale,
Connection.
Exhale.
Relaxation.
And release.
With the in-breath,
Welcome and receive.
With the out-breath,
Let be and let go.
Welcome and receive.
Let be.
And let go.

Jesus was not recognized.
Resurrections are fragile and unstable.
They need great care lest their power fades and the changes dissipate.
To be sustained,
Renewal and rebirth require gentle and repetitive discipline so that we resist the gravitational pull toward the past,
So that we settle easily into the changes.
So that transformation becomes embedded in who we are.
And what we do.
With the breath,
Receive the new and let settle what is here now.
Receive the new.
Let's settle what is here now Jesus initiates soul to soul communion.
Resurrection intensifies our penetrating discernment.
Having passed through death to new life.
Old distractions and triggers have less power over us.
Confusion gives way to insight.
Superficialities give way to depth.
Pleasantries give way to communion.
With the breath,
Receive the new.
And let settle what is here,
Now.
Receive the new.
Let's settle what is here.
Now?
Jesus asks not to be touched.
Resurrections recreate us.
We are being transformed from glory to glory.
Like caterpillars in the midst of metamorphosis,
We may be in process where something organic is happening and we need spaciousness and protection to come into the greater fullness of new being.
Welcome the Enbrat.
And on the out breath,
Release and do not hold on.
May we welcome and settle into our recreated selves.
May it be so.
Thank you.
For being here.
