Harvest of Breath meditation,

Focusing on grounding,

Gratitude,

And gathering what you've grown.

Find a comfortable place to rest.

Close your eyes and take a slow,

Steady breath in through your nose.

Let the air fill your belly,

Your ribs,

Your chest.

Exhale gently through your mouth as though sighing out the weight of a long season.

Imagine the world around you stretching wide,

Endless prairie fields after harvest.

The ground is golden and soft.

The scent of earth is rich and dry.

You can almost hear the quiet hum of the wind brushing through the stubble.

This is a season of gathering,

Of taking in what the months have offered and letting the rest fall away.

Inhale.

Imagine you're drawing the golden light of autumn into your lungs.

Exhale.

Let go of everything that doesn't serve you anymore.

Feel the body settle.

The shoulders soften.

The jaw releasing.

You've tended to so much,

To people,

To plans,

To growth.

Now is the time to rest in what remains.

Picture yourself standing at the edge of a harvested field at sunset.

The horizon glows with amber light.

The air is still.

In the distance,

You can see the long lines of land fading into shadow.

With every breath,

Feel yourself become part of this landscape.

Steady.

Rooted.

Complete.

When you inhale,

Imagine your breath sweeping across the prairie,

Gathering light,

Warmth,

And gratitude.

When you exhale,

Picture it returning to the earth,

Feeding what will one day grow again.

This is the rhythm of the land,

Receiving and releasing.

It's the same rhythm with you.

Let your thoughts fade.

Let your awareness sink down into your chest,

Your belly,

Your hips,

Into the solid ground that holds you.

For these few moments,

There is nothing to do.

You are enough,

Just as you are.

Just breathing in harvest air.

When you're ready,

Take one more deep breath in.

Slow.

Full.

Alive.

And exhale into gratitude.
