This is a practice in resting.
Not just in the body.
But in the breath.
And especially in the exhale.
The power we often rush.
Where all the softening lives.
And so starting by finding a comfortable position.
You can be sitting or lying down.
Any way that feels like letting go.
Letting your hands fall naturally.
Letting your spine relax.
Letting your shoulders drop.
Adding this be the beginning of a deep pause.
And closing your eyes.
If you feel safe to do so.
Or simply luring your gaze.
And taking a slow,
Gentle breath in through the nose.
And exhaling through the mouth.
Unhurried.
Letting your body begin to release.
Man again.
Feeling how the exhale drops you deeper into stillness.
And just continuing in this way.
Beginning to notice the shape of the breath.
Their eyes.
In the fall.
The expansion.
And the letting go.
Especially the letting go.
And now letting your awareness rest inside the exhale.
Not forcing it.
Just following it all the way down.
Until it fades into stillness.
Each time you exhale.
Letting your body melt a little more.
Your jawline.
Your shoulders.
Your belly.
Your hips.
Whole body.
Releasing with each breath.
Each exhale.
Gently luring you into rest.
And now,
Let's use a rhythm together.
Breathing in for four.
Too.
Tree.
For.
Neck fading for six Bye.
For.
Three.
Chill just continuing in this way.
Letting the exhale be longer than the inhale.
Letting it be soft.
Letting it be enough.
Every time you breathe out.
You're teaching your system how to satellite.
How to solve it.
How to be hell.
This is the part of the breath.
Where the nervous system lets go of its grip.
Or the body says.
Safe now.
Keeping that breath flowing.
Letting the exhale be your resting place.
Your retreat.
Your medicine.
Few more rounds like this.
Continuing to allow that exhale to guide you deeper.
And deeper within.
Soft,
Spacious breaths.
With each exhale resting.
A little more.
Melting.
Into that support.
Gently just letting go of the count.
In that practice.
And just resting right here.
In the quiet.
No effort.
Nor do we.
Just being.
And taking as much time as you want or need here.
Only when you're ready.
Gently bringing your awareness back into your space.
You rested inside your breath.
And beautiful.
So even as you move from here.
Remembering that the exhale always knows the way.
Can always guide you home.
To yourself.
