I think for many of us we're.
.
.
Quite used by now.
To making ourselves comfortable.
Tuning into our body.
Shifting down the gear.
You may notice also the breath deepening and slowing down.
And maybe you also notice some other signals of the nervous system.
Slowing down.
Moving maybe from more of an engaged mode.
Maybe even for some of us a slightly stressful mode.
Into a mode where we're telling the body and nervous system it's safe.
It's safe to relax.
And if you can feel such a shift happening,
Then just gently notice for yourself how it is that you know.
There's more calmness.
A sense of safety.
What does that feel like in your inner world?
For many of us that means there is more slowness.
A comfortable warmth and awareness of a rhythm.
Maybe easefulness.
And often,
But not always,
There is also a sense of expansiveness.
Maybe that's true for you.
Or maybe you experience this.
Safety,
Lower gear of the nervous system.
As a groundedness.
And a sort of steady balance.
Or even slight heaviness that keeps you comfortably into place.
Now remember,
We're not at all looking for any of these qualities.
But rather we're exploring and witnessing.
Our inner landscape.
Of feelings,
Sensations,
Perceptions.
Thoughts.
And by doing so regularly,
We become really attuned to our inner world.
And as we become more and more skilled.
Ads.
Sensing our many sense perceptions in this inner world,
In our felt perceptions.
We can also,
In daily life,
Become more.
.
.
It becomes easier to notice felt shifts.
So a felt shift.
Is a change.
In the experience of your felt sense.
Just imagine your inner landscape.
As maybe a piece of earth with a certain weather.
Maybe the sun is shining or it's raining.
And then something changes,
The weather changes.
A cloud may come in front of the sun,
Or if it's raining,
Maybe there's a blow of wind and the rain suddenly.
Makes a different sound,
Looks differently.
And as we go about our business in the world,
Whether at work or at home,
In connection with.
Friends or family members,
Work colleagues.
Or in our connection with ourselves.
How we react or respond.
To the circumstances of life.
We may notice a shift in our self-sense.
And such a shift is a very,
Very helpful thing to be aware of.
Because it gives us information about whether or not something is right for us.
Whether or not we're on the right path.
Or if it's maybe pointing us in the direction of something we want to work on Or we need to let go of something So a felt shift.
Is a moment to pay attention.
Last week I asked you.
In this meditation to take note of what happens in the felt sense.
When you bring in unconditionality.
And for some of you or maybe all of you What you described later was a felt shift.
Noticing our breathing now.
For some of you it might have deepened over the course of the day.
Of this meditation.
For others,
Maybe if some processing material has come up,
Your breathing may have intensified.
And these also are felt shifts.
So just taking note of not only what things look like,
But also how they change.
As you start to understand your inner world better.
Not only mentally but in a really felt way.
You may notice that it becomes easier and more intuitive to navigate your life circumstances.
It can feel like a bold step.
To start to follow your gut.
But in fact you're leaning into.
Something.
Of wisdom.
That is deeper and greater.
Than what you can comprehend with your thinking mind only.
As we do these practices.
We increase our capacity to navigate.
Our life.
From often just the head.
To a full embodied experience of the many senses that we have available.
For the last minute of this meditation.
Imagine now yourself bathing in light.
Growing with every breath.
Into what you might call your higher self,
But what I would like to call what I am.
Call the true self.
With an expansive awareness of.
The own body.
Space around it.
The connections.
You have with other people.
With the earth.
And the Cosmos.
And for the remainder of this meditation let's just breathe into that being of light.
That is fully open.
Fully connected.
Completely at peace.
As always,
You are welcome to continue.
As you are.
I will for now close this meditation,
But look forward to seeing you online in the coming weeks.
Until then.
Take care.
