Let's feel the body as we are sitting or lying down.
Let's notice where we feel our weight.
There.
Connection of the body with the surface that we're sitting on,
Maybe leaning on.
And we can gently bring our attention to the breath the breathing body and notice how it is we feel the breath happening.
In the body.
Breathing in,
Maybe we feel the body expand in some places.
Breathing out,
Letting go we feel a dropping.
Maybe we feel movement and temperature changes.
Maybe tingles and pressure.
And now let's bring to mind a situation where we had a small loss or a small disappointment.
Maybe such as breaking a glass,
That can easily be replaced.
Or bumping your knee.
In a not-too-bad way.
And as we vividly imagine that situation,
Let's also feel what happens in the body.
We can imagine this feeling.
I call.
Call it up.
Call that feeling into the body.
And so this is a feeling that,
Like the emotion we might call disappointment or sadness or frustration,
Whatever your pick.
And let's notice now what that feels like in the felt sense,
What kind of movement is happening.
Is there a tensing up maybe of the belly?
The shoulders.
There may be a clenching of the wrists or of the jaw.
Or maybe there's dropping of the shoulders and the jaw.
What sounds accompany this?
Sensation for you.
This is just a practice to explore what disappointment or loss or frustration,
A small a little bit of bad news in your life,
What that might feel like.
And now let's practice feeling that feeling unconditionally.
What happens for me when I do that and what people report back to me is that a new sensation comes in,
Or rather maybe an opening of space.
In which all of those sensations can unfold.
And maybe you can look inside to see if that's happening for you too.
The loving choice to feel unconditionally.
And if you do feel a space opening up,
Then you're welcome to breathe into that.
As if to widen it,
To create an even more open space.
And allow the sensations of your original.
Little bit of bad news to find their own way and what often happens is they change form or shape Maybe they dissolve.
Maybe they just become smaller or.
.
.
Not as pressing.
And notice how by breathing into this space and seeing our sensations shift.
We actually integrate them into the totality of our being in the moment.
Allowing deep,
Full breaths.
Every in-breath filling.
The body.
Every out-breath,
Letting go.
Deep breaths in and long breaths out.
Relaxed breaths out,
I mean.
So you can just drop the breath and that may actually go quick.
Unconditionally present with anything that arises.
And especially if anything challenging comes up.
Let's bring in with the same dedication,
The same life force,
Our unconditional presence.
And I say especially in challenging situations because those are the ones we tend to move away from.
Not want to feel.
So it requires some dedication,
Some commitment to bring in the same amount of energy to meet that challenge.
Just as,
As a parent,
If our child is having a tantrum,
They need more from us than when they're just playing.
Happily.
I invite you in the coming week to explore what this unconditionality feels like.
In your felt sense.
Something happens as soon as we bring in this quality of presence.
And the more we do it,
The more we can recognize it all through the day.
You're welcome to remain as you are with your eyes closed for some time more.
And I will in a couple of moments close.
This meditation.
Look forward to connecting.
Again in the chat.
Have a lovely week.
And speaks to you.
You
