Hello friends,
Today's practice is about reflecting on gratitude itself,
On how the tiny moments about our life add up,
They create a thread and weave into a tapestry that makes our lives feel rich and full.
We'll spend some time grounding into our body and then reflecting on how gratitude has landed with us this week,
Before choosing an anchor to carry forward with us into the following day,
Week,
Month,
Year.
Finding a place to be at ease,
Taking any wriggles,
Softening the body,
Softening the breath,
Feeling a solidity from the ground beneath you,
Witnessing how your feet are resting,
The support you can feel against your body,
Mentally taking note of any sensations that you can witness as we arrive into our body,
Breathing in,
And breathing out,
Breathing in,
And breathing out,
One more breathing in,
And breathing out,
Like a pebble being dropped into a lake that creates ripples,
Going to drop some questions,
Allow them to drop into the lake of your mind and see what surfaces,
If anything,
Perhaps nothing,
And that's okay too.
What moments have made me feel alive over the past week?
Have made me feel alive?
Have I met my breath this week in daily life?
Have I met my breath in daily life?
How many quiet moments of joy have I collected?
How many quiet moments of joy have I collected?
Allow yourself to be with your mind with anything that arises the next couple of breaths.
I invite you to continue this practice if you feel called to,
By spending some time to write down anything that comes to mind,
And if nothing seems to come,
Allow pen to meet paper and see what can be spilled there.
Choosing one moment to anchor yourself throughout the week in gratitude,
Perhaps you might like to say something on your wake up,
Write a note where you can see it,
Something simple like I am alive,
Breathe.
Perhaps you'd like to recount your last joyful moment of the day and write it down,
Put it in a jar,
Collect them.
Or maybe just witnessing those small moments and taking a breath throughout daily life,
Whether that's when the kettle is boiling or you're at a traffic light.
How can you thread gratitude through your life in the moments between?
Sending you so much love and warmth from my heart to yours.
