It is a lot of fun making your own Herbal Tea and matching them to your Chakras is an added bonus. I look forward to hearing how you go.

Hello again,

We're on to the sacral chakra tea today,

And this chakra is also known as the Svarasthana,

Which means one's own abode or dwelling place.

It's a circle with six petals and a crescent.

The circle represents the element of water.

These symbols point to the close relationship between the phases of the moon and the fluctuations in the water and the emotions.

Located on the lower abdomen,

About two inches below the navel and two inches in,

The sacral chakra rules physical manifestation and is the seat of our creativity.

This chakra determines how we see ourselves in the physical world,

Allowing us to experience our true desires,

Governing our self-worth and our relationship with others.

Within the body,

It governs the hips,

Inner thighs and reproductive organs,

Together with the urinary and the circulatory systems.

It rules our desires,

Emotions,

Sexuality and the need to create,

Whether it's having children or painting a picture.

Physically,

It governs reproduction.

Mentally,

It governs creativity.

Emotionally,

It governs joy.

Spiritually,

It governs enthusiasm.

And this chakra is all about emotional health,

And when we have any imbalances,

This will affect our ability in enjoying life.

It will also affect us physically,

Influencing our creativity and the sexual parts of our life.

This chakra can also have an effect on any baggage that,

Energetically,

That we carry over from our root chakra,

And this can make us feel unsafe and have a lack of joy.

How we deal with our work-life balance could also affect the flow of this chakra.

The sacral chakra colour is orange,

Its element is water,

Its musical note is D,

Its animal is crocodile,

And essential oils used for this chakra are rosewood,

Langlang,

Clary sage and orange.

And good crystals to be used are carnelian,

Orange calcite and peach moonstone.

Its goddesses are bastet,

Ashtar and rati,

And its planet is jupiter.

And the archetypes of this chakra are the temptress and the saint.

Some sacral chakra affirmations are I embrace my creativity and passion,

I am in touch with my emotions and express them freely,

I honour my body and treat it with respect,

I am open to experiencing the pleasures of life,

I deserve to feel joy and abundance,

I am comfortable with my sexuality and embrace my sensuality,

I trust my intuition and follow my inner guidance,

I am a creative being with limitless potential,

I allow myself to experience and express my emotions,

I flow with grace and ease like water.

And so now the tea,

And for the sacral chakra its a calendula tea,

And again remember that we all have different tastes and the recommended brewing for 5 minutes might just be too long for some people,

So to keep it balancing for your taste just see how you go.

Also as precaution some herbs have contraindications with medications etc,

So if you are taking anything best to check that the herbs will not interact with them.

Now the sacral chakra tea is one part calendula,

And that's a cup,

Half a cup,

Tablespoon depending on how much you want to make,

Half part hibiscus,

Quarter part cinnamon tassia,

And this is dried little bits of cinnamon.

So have fun making this,

And you pour boiling water on it of course,

Which I don't think I mentioned before,

And then just let it steep for the 5 minutes,

And let me know how you go.

Now I've also pulled another beautiful tea from my tea oracle cards,

And this is a pine needle tea,

And this is for cleansing.

And so it's 4 tablespoons of fresh pine needles,

Put them in a jar,

And then pour in 2 cups of boiled water,

And cover and steep this one for 5 minutes,

And then add honey if you like it sweet.

And then you can just enjoy it over a day,

It's beautiful tea.

So enjoy,

And keep in touch.

Namaste.

These chakra tea tracks are so lovely and informative. You’re very knowledgeable 🌟 The calendula tea sounds wonderful 🍵 I can’t wait for my garden to bloom so that I can try it. Do you harvest your ingredients to keep you going throughout the winter? If so, how do you preserve them? I dry my herbs and flowers in the sun but I’d love to know how you preserve yours. Thank you Joanne 🙏💖 I’m loving these talks. You’re so knowledgeable. Ps the pine needle tea sounds delicious too 😊
