Hello,

I'm Joanne and this is the heart chakra tea.

The heart is the fourth chakra and it's known as Anahata in Sanskrit which means unstuck,

Unhurt,

Unbeaten and give a nod to the pure love and nature of the fourth chakra.

The heart chakra is in the middle over the heart uniting the lower chakras of matter and the upper chakras of spirit serving as a bridge between our body,

Mind,

Emotions and spirit.

The heart chakra is related to the thymus and the immune system and key issues involving the heart chakra involve complex emotions,

Compassion,

Tenderness,

Unconditional love,

Equilibrium,

Rejection and well-being.

Physically Anahata governs circulation,

Emotionally it governs unconditional love for the self and others,

Mentally it governs passion and spiritually it governs devotion.

The heart chakra is the center of your body's energy universe.

It regulates energy flow in the same way that your physical heart regulates blood flow.

Also here sits heartache as well as deepest affection.

It gives you the ability to hold,

Heal and help the entire planet,

The entire universe as well as compassion for all people in all places across time.

The heart chakra has 12 petals and these 12 petals represent the 12 divine qualities of the heart.

It also includes two triangles that intersect to form a yantra and a yantra is a geometrical diagram used as an aid to meditation and tantric worship.

This yantra represents the balance of yin and yang or upward and downward forces and when the heart chakra is well aligned you are able to easily and openly love others as you love yourself but when it's blocked you feel despair or a lack of optimism.

Its color is green,

Its element is air,

Its musical note is F and the animal is the dove.

Goddesses are Ayin,

Hera,

Ishtar and Kuan Yin and its planet is Venus.

In the realm of the heart chakra three archetypes emerge all of which represent a sacred duality that can be expressed in the form of two physical lovers or within one person as the balance of divine masculine and divine feminine.

Essential oils are rose,

Jasmine,

Nirole and lavender as the crystals are rose quartz,

Emerald,

Cryophrase and morganite.

And now for some heart chakra affirmations to perhaps use while you're drinking your tea.

I am open to giving and receiving love.

I forgive myself and others.

My heart is filled with joy and gratitude.

I am worthy of love and compassion.

I radiate love and kindness to those around me.

I trust in the healing power of love.

I am connected to all living beings through love.

I release all past hurts and embrace love with an open heart.

My heart is open to love,

Peace and harmony and I love and accept myself unconditionally.

So now the tea.

It's a rose petal tea and remember that all we all have different tastes and brewing it for five minutes might be too long for you or too short.

You just need to work out the balance right for your own taste.

Also as a precaution some herbs have contraindications with medications etc so if you're taking anything best to check that the herbs will not interact with them.

Now the tea is one part rose petals,

Half part lavender,

Quarter part chamomile,

Quarter part jasmine and let's have fun making this and I'd love to hear how it goes for you in the next one.

And our tea oracle tea is apple and ginger and so you peel and slice two apples and add a thumb sized piece of grated ginger into a pot with three cups of water.

Simmer for 10 minutes and then cool slightly then blend till smooth and drink this while warm.

This tea is a good balancing tea and as an aside cacao which is a natural aphrodisiac and is used in cacao ceremonies,

Something I do for myself pretty much every morning,

Induces love and opens the heart channel.

Plus it also eases anxiety and makes you more receptive to love's advances.

So until next time my dear friends namaste
