Hey everyone,
Good morning.
Let's start of a new day.
Let's start of a new moment if it's not the beginning of the day.
Thank you for showing up.
Find a comfortable physical position.
You could be seated,
Laying down,
Whatever works.
This is a practice of saying yes.
Now,
When things are pleasant and things are good,
It's quite easy to say yes.
In fact,
We want to say yes.
But it's when things are less good,
Unpleasant,
That's when it gets a little trickier.
So today we'll be focusing on saying yes,
Whether it's for something you want or for something you would prefer not to have or to have happen.
So,
Take a moment to come into your body.
We'll start with a few deep,
Full body breaths.
And then return to your natural quality of breath.
Just gently breathing in and out.
Maybe you bring one hand or both hands onto your heart.
Feel the energy within you.
Feel the inhale and the exhale that your breath creates in your body.
Feel the rise and fall of your chest.
Trust the breath.
Whatever you are going through right now,
Whatever the situation or the experience,
Just feel it.
What would it feel like to just say yes?
Not thinking so much about the logistics,
What it would mean,
How it would go,
To just say yes?
To stop fighting,
Resisting.
No matter how different you wish things were,
What would it feel like to just say yes?
And the feelings in this moment,
They might not be pleasant,
That's okay.
Can you sit with the unpleasantness?
Can you be there with it,
For it,
Like a friend?
Not gonna run away.
Turn your face.
Can you support that feeling?
Can you support yourself with this feeling?
If your hands are still on your heart,
Perhaps you sense some loving energy,
Asking,
Inviting yourself to open your heart to this feeling.
Embrace it,
Bring it in and bring it on.
Every feeling is a sensation.
There are no good feelings,
No bad feelings.
It's just feelings.
Can you trust that this feeling is temporary?
Can you trust that this is not how it is going to go for the rest of time?
And in realizing this,
In seeing this,
In trusting this,
Can you be there with it?
Can you be here with it now,
In faith that it is not forever?
The only thing more difficult than what you are experiencing now would be fighting and resisting what you are experiencing now.
The more fully you can embrace it and welcome it and get to know it,
The more at peace you will be,
Regardless of what it is.
What would it feel like to say yes?
Take a big breath in through your nose,
Big exhale out your mouth.
I hope you feel a little bit more at peace,
A little bit more at ease and in acceptance for what is.
Know that you are not alone,
That we are all out here with you,
Struggling,
Surviving,
Thriving.
We're all feeling it.
Every day in our own unique ways,
We are all feeling it.
