Land where you are.
For most of this day,
Your attention has been pulled outside of you,
Stuck to the noise,
The screens,
And the needs of others.
Now,
We'll practice the reversal.
Pull your awareness back inside the boundary of your own skin.
Turn the gaze toward the center of your own being.
Sense the intensity that's gathered here.
Don't look for a story or a reason.
Just register the physical texture of this moment.
Is it a tightness,
A heat,
A sharpness?
Whatever's here,
Let it be exactly as it is.
It's not an enemy,
It's just energy that's become crowded and needs a path to move.
We'll use the breath to open a channel.
Inhale deeply into the center of your chest.
Gather the heat of the day,
The friction of the day,
Into your heart.
And then exhale,
Send that breath straight down through the root of your spine.
Offer this heaviness to the earth.
Inhaling into the heart,
Gathering the charge.
And exhale,
Draining it down into the dark,
Cool soil.
Inhaling into the heart.
Exhale,
Let the earth take this fuel.
Breathing into the heart center,
Gathering that tension.
And as you breathe out,
Feel the earth recycling your intensity.
Breathing into the heart,
Gathering.
Exhaling through the root,
As you transmute your friction into the strength of deep roots.
Inhale into the heart.
Exhale to the root,
Giving the earth the raw power it needs to move the seasons.
Continue this breath on your own.
Now let the breath return to its own natural rhythm.
Sense the mineral density of your pelvic bowl.
The solid weight of your thighs.
The intensity may still be in the air around you.
But the center of your being is becoming still.
Like a calm,
Clear lake after the wind has stopped.
The ripples are on the surface,
But the depths are peaceful and quiet.
Bring your hands to the center of your heart.
And take one more full breath into this space.
Feel the weight of your hands.
The channel through your root remains open.
The earth is continuing to do the work for you.
Gently bow your chin.
Taking a moment of gratitude.
For your body.
For this moment.
And for your life.
Sending you all the love.
