Be at the bedside of all in the world who are sick. Of those who at this hour have lost consciousness and are about to die. Of those who have just begun to die. Of those who have lost all hope of recovery. Of those who cry out and weep in pain. Of those who are unable to care for themselves because of poverty. Of those who long to walk but cannot move. Of those who long to rest but poverty forces them to toil. Of those who search in vain in their bed for a less painful position. Of those tormented by the worries of a family in distress. Of those who must give up their most cherished hopes. Of those above all who do not believe in a better life. Of those who reject and curse God. Of those who do not know that Christ, Abandoned in pain on the cross, Suffered as they do for them.
