So,
Shall we dive into a nice relaxing meditation?
Today I thought we would do a chakra affirmation meditation.
And I'm going to go through that now.
So if you want to take a moment,
Get comfy,
Maybe get a cushion or something to sit on.
I've got a bolster.
I always have a blanket.
I love my blankets while I meditate because I get chilly.
A little cushion on your lap.
And it was Anne Osborne that taught me this because it stops your shoulders dropping if you've got little short arms like me.
And when you're ready,
Just close your eyes.
And take a moment to connect to the breath and the belly.
Just feel that rising and falling.
And let yourself be lulled by that rhythm.
And just gently allow relaxation to come into your body with the breath.
Spread into every muscle,
Every bit of tension.
Releasing that jaw,
Dropping the shoulders.
Allowing the brow to soften.
Just taking a moment to release.
Just feel that relaxation move through your body like a wave from the top of your head.
Relaxing every muscle through your face,
Through your jaw,
Through your neck and your shoulders.
Down into your arms.
The trunk of your body.
Realizing any tension in the hips and pelvis.
Moving down the thighs,
The knees.
Lower part of the legs and the toes.
Just allowing that relaxation to warm through your body.
And I want you to bring your awareness to the base of your spine now.
And I want you to notice in this lower part of the body.
Is there any tension,
Sensation,
Heaviness?
What can you bring your awareness to here?
And this is the area of the root chakra.
The area of security,
Of stability.
Everything safe and grounded.
And I want you to just say to yourself internally.
I am safe in this moment.
I am grounded in this moment.
And then move your attention a little bit further up the body to the womb space.
And this is the area of creativity,
Of birthing new projects into the world.
And just feel into this area.
Is there anything going on for you here today?
Any blocks,
Sensations,
Tension,
Discomfort?
Or does it feel at ease?
And I want you to say to yourself in this moment.
I am the creator of my reality.
I am the creator of my life.
Just plant that seed in this area.
And then bring your awareness a little further up the body to the centre of the body.
This is solar plexus.
And this is the area of power and strength.
Personal responsibility.
And feel into that area.
Is there any tension or blocks,
Sensations?
What can you feel?
And I want you to say to yourself that I take responsibility for my experience.
I am a powerful being.
And allow that to settle into that area of the body.
Planting that seed.
Then we move up to the heart space.
And just feel into that area.
Is there anything going on here for you today?
Any sensations?
Any resistance?
Just the area of love.
Self love.
Of giving love to the world.
And I want you to say to yourself,
I am loved.
I am love.
And just plant that in the heart space.
And allow that to fill that area.
And coming up to the throat chakra now.
And noticing any sensations,
Resistance or ease.
What's going on for you in this area today?
And I want you to say to yourself,
I lovingly speak my truth.
I lovingly share my message with the world.
And just plant that there,
Allow it to settle into the body.
Now bringing your attention to the third eye.
Just notice.
What can you feel there today?
And I want you to say to yourself,
I see things as they truly are.
I allow myself to be guided by my intuition.
And allow that to settle into that area.
Planting the seed of intention.
And bring your awareness to the top of your head,
To the crown chakra.
This is our area of the divine entering our body.
Our connection to the one.
And just notice any sensations or feelings you have stored there.
And I want you to say to yourself,
I am one with everything.
I am an expression of the divine.
And allow that to settle.
And take a few deep breaths,
Connecting back to the breath in the body.
And gently wiggling your toes.
Wiggling your fingers.
And thanking yourself for giving yourself that time.
