So just take a moment to get nice and comfortable and when you're ready just close your eyes.
And I'd like you to imagine that on the end of your fingertips you have some long hollow tubes.
Perhaps they're made of paper or bamboo or something else,
Whatever you choose that's fine.
Just imagine that the air can flow up these tubes into your fingertips,
Into your hands and wrists,
Up through your arms,
Into your shoulders and just collecting in your chest before pushing down the air,
Down through the lower body,
Down through the legs and out through the feet and toes.
With each breath imagine the air being sucked up through the fingertips into the hands.
That's right,
Through the hands,
Into the wrists,
Arms and up into the chest where it collects just for a moment before being pushed down,
Down,
Down through the body and out through the feet.
That's it.
Just allow that circular motion of air,
Breathing it up through the fingertips,
Moving through the arms,
Into the chest before being pushed down through your body and out through your feet.
And just think of a beautiful colour,
Preferably one that you associate with purity.
See this colour in all its beauty and then when you're ready,
Breathe up this beautiful colour through the long hollow tubes,
Into your hands,
Wrists,
Arms,
Moving up into your shoulders and then holding for a moment before pushing the coloured air down,
Down through the body,
From top to bottom,
Down through the chest,
The torso,
The legs and out through the feet and toes.
Just allow this pure coloured air to fill your body,
Knowing it's nourishing you,
It's soothing you.
Feel it travel up from your fingertips,
Up towards your shoulders and after a moment of stillness in the chest.
Feel it move down,
Down through your body to your toes,
Moving gently through the body and bringing with it a feeling of calmness,
A stillness perhaps.
Whatever you're experiencing just try and stay with that,
Experience it.
And I'm going to stay silent for a while,
Will you focus on imagining this soothing,
Nourishing pure air,
Moving in up through the hollow tubes,
Moving into the fingertips,
Travelling up through the hands,
The wrists,
The arms,
Towards the shoulders and collecting there for a moment before pushing the air down,
Down through the chest,
Torso,
Bottom,
Legs,
Out through your feet and toes.
Just continue to experience this beautiful flow of pure coloured air,
Gently moving through your body.
The moments of silence start now.
Remember this is your time,
An important time for you to let go of negativity that you've been holding on to.
Perhaps you're not even aware of any negativity and that's okay.
All that matters is that you breathe in the pure fresh air of your chosen colour,
Up through those long hollow tubes,
Into your hands and wrists,
Up through your arms,
Towards your shoulders and then collecting in the chest before breathing out slowly,
Pushing the air down,
Down and out through your feet and toes.
And when you think of negativity,
Perhaps you are reminded of a negative event that you wish had never happened or maybe negative people that surround you and drain you or perhaps your own negative thoughts and beliefs that just don't serve you.
Whatever negativity you identify,
Know that this meditation is clearing a space,
Making room for more positive thoughts and feelings,
Boosting the flow of your body's natural painkillers,
Boosting the flow of your feel-good hormones and thereby promoting health and bringing calmness.
Just continue to enjoy this time,
Your time,
Time to enjoy the stillness and clear the space.
Imagine your body as a vessel through which you can breathe up the pure fresh air up through the hollow tubes,
Into the fingertips,
Through your hands,
Wrists,
Arms,
Shoulders,
Just collecting the air in your chest for a few moments before pushing it down and out through your feet and toes.
This beautiful flow of pure fresh air,
Clearing the channels,
Clearing a space,
Pushing out any negativity relating to negative people.
You know who they are,
Negative people from your past or your present.
You know what feelings come up for you when you think of them.
So now is a great time for you to clear that space.
So on the next breath in,
As you pull the air up through the long hollow tubes,
Know that you are clearing the negativity belonging to negative people from your past or present.
Unkind people,
Insensitive people,
Ones that should have behaved better.
People who disappointed you,
Manipulated you,
Whoever they are,
Whatever they said or did.
You can breathe out the negativity,
Breathe it away from yourself,
Out through your feet.
You don't have to have it.
Just let it go right now as you breathe it out.
You can choose to not let that person determine how you feel.
Their negativity does not belong to you.
It's their concern,
Not yours.
You can choose not to be part of it right now,
In this moment,
All is well.
In this moment,
I am okay.
Continue to breathe through your body.
Breathe up the pure fresh air,
Up through the long hollow tubes,
Into the fingertips,
Through the hands,
The wrists,
The arms,
Towards the shoulders.
Just collecting the air in your chest for a few moments before pushing it down and out through your feet and toes.
This beautiful flow of pure fresh air clearing the channels,
Clearing a space,
Pushing out any negativity relating to negative events.
Life is eventful.
Negative events have occurred in our past and affected who we are.
So just spend the next few minutes breathing out the negativity,
Clearing a space.
Events that happened to us,
Ones we wish had never happened but they did.
Negative events stacked away in the attic of our mind that we'd rather forget.
We can't change the past.
We can move on from it,
Separating the past from the present.
Acknowledge that these things happened but remembering that that was then and this is now.
That was then and this is now.
Right now,
In this moment,
I am safe.
I am okay.
So now,
Breathe up the pure fresh air through the long hollow tubes,
Up into the hands,
Arms and shoulders.
Holding for a moment before pushing the air down through the body and out through the feet and toes.
Pushing out the negativity and clearing a space.
And now,
Just breathe out,
Push out any negative thoughts and beliefs.
Right now,
We don't need them.
We don't want them.
Remember thoughts are just thoughts,
Nothing more.
Constant negative thoughts can wear us down.
They can hijack us and affect our mood and our behaviours.
Eckhart Tolle says,
Much suffering,
Much unhappiness arises when you take each thought that comes into your head for the truth.
So take some time now to just be in this stillness.
Breathe deeply,
Dragging up the air through the long hollow tubes,
Up into the hands,
Arms and shoulders.
Holding for a moment before pushing the air down through the body and out through the feet and toes.
Pushing out any negative thoughts and clearing a space.
And I wonder if you can sense the calmness that is moving in as you push out the negativity and you're making room for something.
Something.
Ask yourself,
What would I like to fill this space with right now?
Love,
Happiness,
Positivity,
Optimism.
Just take a few moments to gain an intuitive feel for what you need right now to feel okay.
And if this need was a colour,
What would it be?
And this is the tonic that you're going to give to yourself.
A dose of what you need.
So just go ahead,
Fill up the vessel you've cleared just like a coloured liquid pouring into the crown of your head.
Fill it up from the bottom to the top and the top to the bottom,
All the way up and all the way down.
Filling yourself up.
Topping up your wellness tank.
That's right,
Breathe deeply and easily.
And just experience the moment of now as you fill up with this beautiful colour.
Allow it to flow through you,
Around you.
Sense it moving,
Flowing and stay curious as it fills you with a beautiful presence.
And all the good feelings you felt during this relaxation,
You are going to take those good feelings with you and they will help you in so many ways.
Some you will be aware of and others you won't be aware of.
But you will feel this growing calmness within you.
So when you're ready,
Just open your eyes and remember to congratulate yourself on filling up your wellness tank.
