A short exercise to help your children connect with love. I've included simple, easy to follow hand movements for maximum engagement. This exercise can be helpful when your child is feeling in need of love, or even to remind a group of children to act in a loving and kind manner. It is a valuable tool for regulating emotions, showing us that we can always find love in our own hearts to share with ourselves and others. Background music: Water Lily by Ajit Pramod Deshpande. Let's do a little exercise together to help us connect with the love in our hearts.

Sit or stand with your back straight and your shoulders back.

As you draw your shoulders back,

You will feel your heart becoming more open and lifting a little in your chest.

Now place your hands together in a prayer position in front of your heart.

Take a deep breath in and out again.

Lift your hands up to your forehead and say with me,

I think.

Bring your hands back to your heart again and say with love.

Lift your hands up to your eyes and say I see.

Bring your hands back to your heart again and say with love.

Now lift your hands to your mouth and say I speak.

Bring your hands back to your heart again and say with love.

Keep your hands at your heart and say I am love.

Let's do this together two more times.

Hands to forehead,

I think.

Hands back to heart,

With love.

Hands to eyes,

I see.

Hands back to your heart,

With love.

Hands to mouth,

I speak.

Hands back to heart,

With love.

Keep your hands at your heart and say I am love.

Now let's see if you can do the movements while we only say the special words together.

I think with love.

I see with love.

I speak with love.

I am love.

Well done.

Remember that you can do this exercise again whenever you would like to feel more connected with the love inside your heart.

Now wrap your arms around yourself and give yourself a big warm hug.

You are love.
