Dear one.
Mornings are magical because they provide us with the opportunity to begin anew.
Today I would like you to focus on being kind to yourself.
We often find it easier to be kind to others than to ourselves.
But it is so important to show ourselves some kindness as well.
When we are kind to ourselves,
We are more compassionate to ourselves and to others.
Being kind helps us to stop seeing our humanness as a flawed state.
Rather,
We get to rejoice in our incredible it is that we are alive exactly as we are.
We can celebrate the fact that we try our best every day.
We can find delight in being perfectly imperfect.
To truly know how to be kinder to yourself,
You need to know how you are feeling.
Trust that whatever and however you are feeling is perfectly acceptable and valid.
Knowing how you are feeling will help you to care for yourself in the kindest possible way today.
Let's begin by taking three slow deep breaths together to help you tune into the needs of your own body,
Mind and heart.
Feel yourself becoming more and more relaxed with each breath.
The next few minutes are just for you.
You deserve this precious time to check in with yourself.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Another deep breath in and out.
And the last slow breath in and out.
Now that you are completely relaxed,
I would like you to spend a few moments checking how your body is feeling.
Gently scan your body and become aware of how your body would like to be cared for today.
Next,
I would like you to gently shift your attention from your body to your mind.
What thoughts are passing through your mind today?
Gently scan your mind and become aware of how your mind would like to be cared for today.
For the last part of our practice,
I would like you to gently shift your attention from your mind to your heart.
Gently scan your heart to see which feelings are coming up for you today.
Feel into your heart and become aware of how your heart would like to be cared for today.
If you keep a journal or diary,
You may want to write down one small way in which you can be kinder to yourself today.
Remember to check in with yourself throughout your day.
This will help you to remain focused on being kind to yourself all day.
The needs of your body,
Mind and heart matter.
