Our chakras are energy centers that are located in different areas of our bodies.
Each chakra is believed to help balance a different physical,
Emotional,
Psychological or spiritual state of being and it is important to keep them balanced so that our life force energy can flow freely through our entire body.
During today's exercise I will guide you through a visualization to help you focus on each of the seven chakras in turn.
While we pause our focus on each chakra I will share an affirmation with you that you can either repeat out loud or silently to yourself to help you heal and balance each of your chakras.
Let's begin our journey through the chakras by sitting or lying down in a comfortable position.
Straighten your spine and tuck your chin slightly to ensure that your neck and spine is in alignment.
If you are comfortable doing so you may close your eyes or simply soften your gaze to a comfortable point just ahead of you.
Now we will take three deep breaths together.
As you exhale I would like you to focus on releasing any thoughts about your day with your breath.
Allow yourself to become completely present for the next few minutes.
Everything else can wait for just a little while while you attend to this healing and balancing exercise.
Take a deep breath into your belly.
Hold your breath for a moment and then release all of your breath with an audible sigh.
Take a deep breath expanding your belly.
Take a deep breath expanding your belly.
Hold for a moment and release your breath with a sigh.
And a last deep breath expanding your belly as much as you can.
Hold for a moment and release your breath with a lovely sigh.
Now gently allow your breath to return to its natural pattern.
Become aware of the area at the base of your spine where your root chakra is located.
The root chakra forms our foundation and is associated with our sense of security survival and groundedness in the world.

I am supported and grounded.
I belong.
I am supported and grounded.

Now gently shift your attention to the area just below your navel where your sacral chakra is located.
The sacral chakra is where our emotions,
Our pleasures and our passions are situated.
See if you can visualize a beautiful orange color surrounding you as you repeat the following affirmations.
I am allowed to feel all of my feelings.
I am inspired.
I am allowed to feel all of my feelings.
I am inspired.
Now gently shift your attention to the area between your navel and the bottom of your ribs.
This is where your solar plexus chakra is located.
The solar plexus chakra is where our sense of self-worth and our personal power is situated.

I am valuable just for being me.
I am worthy.
I am valuable just for being me.
I am valuable just for being me.
I am worthy.
I am worthy.
Now gently shift your attention to the area in the center of your chest where your heart chakra is located.
The heart chakra is where our lower more physical chakras and our higher more spiritual chakras meet.
The heart chakra is where our feelings of love and compassion originate from.

I am kind and compassionate.
I love and I am loved.

Now gently shift your attention to your throat area where your throat chakra is located.
The throat chakra is our center of communication.
When this chakra is balanced,
We are able to speak our own truth because we are able to fully listen to what our bodies,
Emotions and intuition tell us.

I listen attentively.
I express myself honestly.
I listen attentively.
I listen attentively.
Now gently shift your attention to the area between your eyebrows where your brow chakra is located.
This chakra is the center of our intuition and the bridge between ourselves and the outside world.
This chakra is where we see clearly through illusions.

I am guided by my inner wisdom.
I trust my intuition.
I am guided by my inner wisdom.

Now gently shift your attention to the area at the top of your head where your crown chakra is located.
The crown chakra is the center of our spiritual connection to the divine.
See if you can visualize a beautiful violet color surrounding you as you repeat the following affirmations.
I am connected to spirit.
I am at peace.
I am connected to spirit.
I am at peace.
I will now allow a few minutes for you to enjoy the feelings of balance and peace to saturate your body.
