This practice can help an overwhelmed child access a calm and safe space in his or her imagination. Anxious and/or introverted children have a tendency to feel overwhelmed or overstimulated by too much noise or activity. What often helps, is spending some time in a quiet environment with few stimuli. You may also enjoy listening to the story, "What If Worries Weren't Wild?", in which Kiki discovers helpful ways of dealing with anxiety. Music credit: Music for Manatees by Kevin MacLeod.
