Bedtime Gifts From The Stars Meditation

Are you tucked in snug in your cozy bed? Now I have a surprise for you. Are you ready? Close your eyes. No beeping or you'll scare the surprise away. Let's take three deep breaths together so that we can be calm and quiet when it arrives. Breathe slowly in and slowly out. And again slowly in and slowly out. And one more time slowly in and slowly out. Now keep your eyes closed and imagine that you are looking up at a beautiful night sky. The sky is the color of deep blue velvet. You can see the moon and a few stars glittering like precious jewels on this velvety background. One of the stars just winked at you. Did you see it? Let's keep very quiet to see if it will happen again. There it is again. I think that little star wants to be your friend. And you know what? It is not the only one. I can see a whole bunch of stars winking and twinkling at you now. These friendly stars have each brought a gift for you. If we are very quiet they will each show you the gift they bring one by one. Here is the first one. This little star has brought you a bag filled with happiness. You must lie very still while the little star shakes out the bag of happiness flakes over you. Can you feel your skin tingle as each flake of happiness is absorbed into your body? Wow! This next star is carrying a very heavy gift. Can you see how slowly he moves? I wonder what he is carrying in that heavy box. He is opening the box slowly. Oh my goodness! Look at all of the love pouring out of that box. That was why it was so heavy. There is so much love coming out of that box now. It is filling up your entire room like a soft fluffy cloud. There is so much love it fills up your entire house and your entire neighborhood. Oh my! I think there is enough love in that box to share with the whole world. Let's snuggle in this cloud of love for a moment before we see what the next star has brought you. Can you feel the love settling into your heart? Oh here is a very lovely star. Look how beautifully it shines. It is holding a precious glass bottle. Look at all of the colors bouncing off of the glass. The star opens the bottle and outpours a dreamy sweet smelling liquid. It makes you feel calm and at rest. This gift is called peace. Breathe this precious gift in through your nose and allow it to calm your thoughts until you feel perfectly at peace. Here comes the friendliest star of them all tied in a red ribbon. This star is offering you friendship. From now on you will never feel lonely again. Your special star friend will always be watching over you whenever you look up to the sky. Can you see your star friend twinkling at you from above? Now this last gift is so precious that it takes two stars to carry the heavy treasure chest in which it is kept. The heavy wooden chest is filled with golden star dust that will bring you sweet dreams. Keep your eyes closed. The stars have each grabbed a handful of the star dust and they are sprinkling it all over you. Now try to keep your eyes closed and breathe deeply and slowly to allow all of these beautiful gifts to work their magic on you. May you have a happy and peaceful night filled with only the sweetest of dreams. Allow yourself to drift off while your star friends watch over you.
