Hi,
This is Helen,
And I wanted to offer this meditation to support you in feeling grounded and peaceful and safe,
Especially in these times when things are feeling a bit uncertain and when we,
As a species,
Are going through a lot of changes and that can feel quite unsettling.
So let's begin.
Just start by getting into a comfortable position,
Sitting or lying down,
Whatever feels good.
And let your body begin to relax.
Close your eyes if you haven't already.
And take a deep,
Slow breath in through your nose.
And exhaling gently through your mouth.
And allow your exhale to be a bit longer than the inhale.
Let your shoulders drop.
Your jaw relax.
Let your breath be natural and easy.
And take your attention now to your feet and the soles of your feet.
And imagine that you can send down some roots that extend down from your body into the earth.
These energetic roots move gently and deeply,
Reaching down through all the layers of the earth,
Connecting you with the ancient and steady,
Quiet presence of Mother Earth.
Just feel your connection to her.
Feel how supported you are.
You are held and safe here in this deep connection.
And just rest in that knowing for a moment.
That even when life on the surface can feel uncertain,
This deeper ground of being is always there.
And with your next inhale,
Just breathe in the words peace and safety.
There's no need to try to do this.
No need to force anything.
Just feel those words.
Peace and safety surrounding you.
Notice where in your body you feel even the smallest sense of peace.
Notice what it feels like to feel safe in your body in this moment.
Let those feelings grow slowly and naturally,
Like a soft light expanding from within.
And if any part of you feels unsettled,
Just notice it with kindness.
Breathe into it gently.
Breathing in peace.
You're safe to feel exactly what you feel.
You're safe to be here just as you are.
You might like to quietly repeat these following words or simply just receive them.
I am safe to be in the unknown.
I am grounded even as life is shifting around me.
I trust the ancient wisdom within me.
I am supported by something that is greater than myself.
I carry peace within me always,
No matter what is happening around me.
And now let these final moments be a settling into that knowing and the safety that's always here.
There's nothing you need to do.
Just simply rest in the space where peace already lives within you.
And where safety isn't something you have to go out and find,
But something you remember.
This grounded stillness and support is yours.
Even as the world shifts,
Something within you remains unmoved and unmoving.
Something that is deep and wide and ancient.
And you can go to this place anytime.
It's not far away.
It's within you always.
You can stay here for as long as you like.
Knowing that you are held.
You are safe.
