Hi,
I'm Hayley and I'm glad you're here today making space for yourself.
Today's meditation is about abundance.
It's a meditation on recognizing what you already have.
So find a position that feels comfortable.
Whether that's sitting or lying down.
And when you're ready,
Let your eyes close or soften your gaze downwards.
So let's take a moment to settle the breath.
So take a breath in and let it out slowly.
Noticing the sound of your breath The shape of your breath,
The texture.
The way it moves through you.
And breathe in again and out without needing to change anything,
Just being with your breath as it arrives naturally.
Inhaling and exhaling.
And noticing how it feels See if you can let each exhale carry a small release,
A softening,
So that there's a little bit more of you arriving here.
Now place your awareness on your body.
So wherever it is resting and let it be held.
By whatever is beneath you,
Whether that's your chair,
Your cushion,
The floor notice any other points of contact your feet on the floor.
Your bum on the cushion,
Your hands on your lap.
You might also notice the temperature of your hands or how different textures of clothing feel on your skin.
So for the next 10 minutes or so.
.
.
We're going to sit with the word abundance.
Not abundance as something out there that you're waiting for or working towards,
But abundance as something that is already present.
That's already here.
And abundance is often easy to overlook.
So this can be a very powerful and grounding meditation.
So I invite you to first of all think about your body and how abundance relates to the way that you feel about your body.
So what is abundant when you think of your body?
For example,
Your breathing.
You breathe without having to think about it without having to ask your lungs to work or without having to ask your heart to beat you your senses might feel abundant you can hear,
You can see You can touch and you don't have to work hard.
To achieve those things There is an abundance in your own aliveness.
In the cyclic,
Tireless work that your body does.
Simply to keep you here so allow yourself to feel some appreciation for that aliveness Now think of the people in your life.
What does abundance mean when you think of the people in your life?
You you could try thinking of one person who has shown you care even if that's in a small way you could allow them to come to mind,
Their face,
Their voice the energy.
And you could notice the abundance that you feel when you think of them sit with that feeling of abundance knowing that somebody somewhere has held you or helped you or they've been glad that you exist you You could also think about abundance in terms of small moments.
That feel pleasurable or pleasant.
Like a warm cup of coffee that moment when you first go to bed and your head hits the pillow a moment of beauty a moment of ease you abundance doesn't have to be big and dramatic it can be these small moments that often go unnoticed yet they are woven into our day.
Notice how that abundance feels in your body This moment of stillness is abundance.
Now think of something in your life that you've created or built,
Maybe a project.
Something that's that you've worked hard for.
A relationship,
Your home.
And whatever comes to mind.
Allow yourself to acknowledge that you had a hand in it.
That this part of your life exists because you showed up for it.
This can be abundance too.
Something that you've grown yourself,
Something that you've worked for.
You you you now just let the feeling of abundance sit in your body however it wants to show up.
Maybe it feels like a warmth or a lightness.
And just notice whatever's present Just be with that feeling.
And allow the feeling or the sensation to spread through your body.
Through your chest,
Your shoulders,
Your arms,
All the way down to your toes Allow yourself to be enveloped by this sense of abundance.
You you you And as you begin to come back into the room,
See if you can carry some of this feeling with you anytime that you need a reminder of what you already have.
There is so much that is already yours,
That you already have.
So take one more breath in.
Relax your shoulders as you exhale.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes or lift your gaze.
Thank you for spending time with me today.
