Welcome.
This practice is for the moments when you feel like you must keep giving,
Helping,
Or proving yourself.
When guilt rises,
If you even think of resting.
Take a slow breath in and exhale gently.
This is your moment of pause.
Think of the last time you felt guilty for slowing down.
Perhaps you told yourself,
I should be doing more.
They need me.
I can't afford to stop.
This is the saint mask speaking.
An old survival pattern.
It whispers a belief that your worth is tied to constant giving.
Pause and notice.
How does that belief feel in your body?
Where does it live?
In your chest?
Your shoulders?
Your breath?
Place a hand on your heart.
With every inhale,
Say silently,
I am enough.
With every exhale,
Let go of the belief that rest makes you unworthy.
Imagine that belief as a tight thread around your heart.
With each breath,
The thread loosens.
Notice.
You are opening space.
This is the shift of belief,
Choosing a gentler story.
That rest is not selfish.
That rest is sacred.
Picture yourself lying on soft ground,
Water flowing nearby.
Each breath brings you deeper into trust.
You can stop.
You can soften.
You are still worthy.
Notice how your body responds to this new truth.
Let it root into you like a seed being planted.
As you return to your day,
Carry this belief.
Rest is your birthright.
Rest is sacred.
Rest is enough.
Take one last deep breath.
Exhale completely.
And rest in yourself.
