Hey everyone,
My name is Hannah and today I really wanted to talk about the concept that if I have a secure attachment with the present moment,
I have a secure attachment everywhere.
So as a therapist,
I often am talking about and exploring attachment styles with my clients and with my colleagues and with myself.
Attachment styles are something that a lot of us know about.
Secure attachment,
Anxious attachment,
Anxious avoidant attachment,
And so on.
But how often do we think about,
What is my attachment style with the present moment?
And even more than that.
Or less than that,
What is my attachment style with myself?
Do I have an anxious attachment style with myself?
Do I have an insecure or avoidant attachment style with the present moment?
How can I deepen my attachment to the current,
To the present moment?
Because when I have secure attachment with the present moment,
I have secure attachment everywhere.
Because this is all there is.
And so I pose this question to you.
What kind of attachment style do you have with the present moment?
And even in the time it's taken you to watch this video,
How often have you thought about something that you have to do or are going to do or something from the past?
Coming back to the present moment takes practice,
It takes a whole lot of self-compassion,
And more than anything,
It takes a non-judgmental awareness.
So I invite you back to this moment with me.
Securely attached to the present moment,
Securely attached to all there is.
