Welcome to this guided meditation for a self-compassion break.
In this practice,
We will learn to befriend ourselves and offer soothing words of compassion in times of need,
Fostering inner strength and resilience.
Find a comfortable position,
Whether seated or lying down,
And gently close your eyes.
Take a moment to settle into your body,
Allowing any tension or discomfort to melt away.
Take a deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Let go of any stress or worries that may be lingering in your mind.
Inhale deeply,
And exhale slowly and gently.
On your next out-breath,
Bring your attention to the rhythm of your breath.
Notice the natural flow of each inhale and exhale,
The soothing rise and fall of your chest or abdomen.
Allow your breath to guide you into a state of relaxation and present moment awareness.
As you become centered in the present,
Bring to mind a situation or experience that has caused you pain,
Struggle,
Or self-doubt.
It could be a recent event or something from the past.
Take a moment to hold this situation gently in your awareness,
Acknowledging any emotions that arise without judgment.
Take a deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Create a space within yourself to welcome these emotions.
Notice any feelings of sadness,
Anger,
Fear,
Or disappointment that may arise.
Allow them to surface without pushing them away or trying to change them.
This is a safe and compassionate space where you can honor your emotions.
As you hold this situation in your awareness,
Visualize it as if it were a delicate flower in your hands.
Treat it with tenderness and care,
Recognizing the fragility of your emotions.
Offer yourself the compassion and understanding you would extend to a dear friend who is going through a similar experience.
With a gentle and compassionate voice,
Repeat the following phrases to yourself.
This is a moment of suffering.
Suffering is a part of life.
May I be kind to myself in this moment.
As you repeat each phrase,
Allow the words to resonate within you,
Bringing comfort and understanding.
Feel the tenderness and warmth of self-compassion enveloping you,
Like a soothing embrace for your inner self.
Allow these words to remind you that suffering is a shared human experience.
You are not alone in your pain,
And it is okay to offer yourself kindness and compassion.
Embrace the truth that self-compassion is a vital ingredient for healing and growth.
Now,
Gently shift your focus to another aspect of your being,
Your inherent worth and goodness.
Bring to mind a quality or attribute that you appreciate about yourself.
It could be a talent,
A loving gesture,
Or a strength you possess.
Hold this positive aspect of yourself in your heart,
Like a precious gem that shines brightly within you.
With a tender tone,
Repeat the following phrases silently to yourself,
Allowing the words to uplift and affirm your sense of self-worth.
I acknowledge my goodness.
I am deserving of love and compassion.
May I embrace my worthiness with kindness.
Allow the words to permeate your being,
Awakening a deep sense of self-acceptance and love.
Recognize that you are deserving of kindness,
Both from others and from yourself.
Take a few moments to rest in this space of self-compassion,
Breathing in the soothing energy of your own love and acceptance.
Allow it to radiate throughout your entire being,
Filling every cell with warmth and tenderness.
As this practice draws to an end,
Take a final deep breath in,
Drawing in fresh energy and vitality.
Exhale slowly,
Releasing any remaining tension or self-judgment.
Wiggle your fingers and toes,
Reawakening your body to the present moment.
When you are ready,
Gently open your eyes and bring your awareness back to the world around you.
By cultivating self-compassion,
We nourish our inner selves and navigate the ups and downs of life with greater resilience and love.
Carry the feelings of self-compassion and worthiness with you as you continue your day,
Knowing that you have the power to offer yourself kindness and understanding whenever needed.
Www.
Mooji.
